2. Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before assembly and use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.

  • Site Selection: Choose a level, clear area free from overhead obstructions (e.g., power lines, tree branches) and sharp objects on the ground. Ensure adequate space for the tent's dimensions (40'x20') plus additional clearance for guy ropes and stakes.
  • Weather Conditions: This tent is designed for temporary use. Do not use in extreme weather conditions such as heavy winds, snow, or severe thunderstorms. Disassemble and store the tent if adverse weather is expected.
  • Anchoring: Always secure the tent firmly to the ground using all provided stakes and tie-down cords. Proper anchoring is crucial for stability.
  • Fire Safety: Although the PVC material is fire-retardant, keep all heat sources, open flames, and flammable materials away from the tent fabric. Do not use barbecues, heaters, or cooking equipment inside the tent.
  • Assembly: Assembly requires multiple people. Do not attempt to assemble or disassemble the tent alone. Wear appropriate safety gear, such as gloves, during assembly.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation, especially if using the tent in warm weather or with many occupants. The removable window walls can assist with airflow.
  • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the assembly area. Do not allow them to play unsupervised around or inside the tent.

4. Setup Instructions

Assembly of the DELTA Marquee Tent requires a minimum of 4-6 people. Follow these steps carefully for proper and safe installation.

4.1. Prepare the Site

  1. Select a flat, dry, and clear area for the tent. Ensure there are no sharp objects, rocks, or debris that could damage the tent fabric.
  2. Clear an area larger than 40'x20' to allow for staking and maneuvering during assembly.

4.2. Assemble the Frame

  1. Unpack all frame poles and connectors. Lay them out according to the included frame diagram.
  2. Begin by assembling the base frame, connecting the horizontal and vertical poles using the appropriate joints. Ensure all connections are secure.
  3. Gradually build up the side and roof frame sections, following the numerical or alphabetical labels on the poles and connectors if provided.
  4. Install the roof bar supports and tension wires as the roof frame takes shape. These add significant structural integrity.

4.3. Install the Top Cover

  1. Carefully unfold the PVC top cover and drape it over the assembled frame. Ensure the cover is centered and aligned correctly with the frame.
  2. Secure the top cover to the frame using the integrated straps, bungee cords, or ties, starting from the corners and working towards the center. Ensure a snug fit to prevent water pooling.

4.4. Attach Walls and End Panels

  1. Attach the end panels first, ensuring the clear triangular sections are positioned correctly. Secure them to the frame using the provided fasteners (e.g., Velcro, zippers, ties).
  2. Next, attach the removable window walls along the sides of the tent. These can be rolled up or removed entirely for ventilation or open-air events.

4.5. Anchor the Tent

  1. Drive the heavy-duty corner stakes into the ground at each corner of the tent, ensuring they are firmly embedded.
  2. Attach the ratchet tie-down tension cords to the tent frame and the ground stakes. Tighten the ratchets to create tension and securely anchor the tent.
  3. Ensure all guy ropes are taut and properly secured to prevent movement in windy conditions.

5. Operating the Tent

The DELTA Marquee Tent is designed for versatility and ease of use once assembled.

  • Ventilation: Utilize the removable window walls to control airflow and temperature inside the tent. They can be rolled up and secured to allow for an open-air feel or zipped down for full enclosure.
  • Lighting: The clear PVC end panels allow for significant natural light during the day. For evening events, consider external or internal lighting solutions, ensuring they do not generate excessive heat or pose a fire hazard.
  • Entry/Exit: Designate clear entry and exit points. Ensure pathways are unobstructed for guests and emergency personnel.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the lifespan of your DELTA Marquee Tent.

  • Cleaning: Clean the PVC fabric with mild soap and water. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or pressure washers, as these can damage the material. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storage.
  • Frame Inspection: Regularly inspect the galvanized steel frame for any signs of rust, bending, or damage. Replace any compromised parts immediately.
  • Fabric Inspection: Check the PVC fabric for tears, punctures, or excessive wear. Small repairs can often be made with a PVC repair kit.
  • Storage: Before storing, ensure all tent components are clean and completely dry to prevent mold, mildew, and rust. Store the tent in its provided storage bags in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
