4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Choosing an Installation Location

For optimal performance, select a location that receives direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours a day. Avoid areas under eaves, trees, or other obstructions that may block sunlight from reaching the solar panel. The light should also be installed away from other strong light sources at night (e.g., streetlights) as these may interfere with the light sensor.

4.2 Mounting the Light

  1. Mark the desired drilling points on the wall using the light's mounting holes as a template.
  2. Drill holes at the marked positions.
  3. Insert the plastic anchors into the drilled holes.
  4. Align the light with the anchors and secure it with the provided screws.

4.3 Initial Charging

Before first use, ensure the solar light is fully charged. Place the light in direct sunlight for at least 8-10 hours. The light will automatically charge during the day and activate at night.

5. Operating Instructions

The JESLED solar light features a remote control for easy operation and multiple lighting modes and color temperatures.

5.1 Powering On/Off

Before using the remote control, press the power button on the light itself to activate it. The light will then be responsive to the remote control.

5.2 Lighting Modes

The light offers four distinct lighting modes, selectable via the remote control:

  1. Sensor Mode (Mode 1): Stays off when no motion is detected and turns on with strong light when motion is detected.
  2. Sensor & Dim Mode (Mode 2): Stays on dim light when no motion is detected and turns on with strong light when motion is detected.
  3. Dim Light Long Bright Mode (Mode 3): Stays on dim light all night. The solar light automatically turns on/off with the dust-to-dawn photocell.
  4. Highlight Mode (Mode 4): Press the power button (Green) for 5 seconds to turn on/off (lasting over 6 hours). This mode provides continuous strong light.

5.5 USB Charging

In situations of continuous rainy or cloudy weather where solar charging is insufficient, the light is equipped with a USB charging interface for alternative power input. Use a standard USB cable (not included) to charge the light.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the optimal performance and lifespan of your solar light.

  • Cleaning the Solar Panel: Periodically wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
  • Weather Resistance: The light is IP65 waterproof, designed to withstand rain, snow, and various outdoor conditions. It is also cold and heat resistant.
