Setup Instructions

1. Charging the Devices:

1. Connect the 2-in-1 USB charger cable to both the wireless earpiece and the 2-Pin dongle.
2. Plug the USB end of the cable into a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
3. Charge the devices for approximately 1.5 hours. The earpiece provides about 4 hours of work time, and the dongle provides about 10 hours.

2. Connecting the Dongle to Your Radio:

1. Ensure your SAMCOM FPCN10A or FPCN30A walkie-talkie is turned off.
2. Align the two pins of the K Head Plug Dongle with the corresponding ports on your walkie-talkie.
3. Gently insert the dongle until it is securely connected.
4. Turn on your walkie-talkie.

3. Pairing the Earpiece and Dongle:

1. Turn on the wireless earpiece by pressing and holding the power button until the indicator light flashes.
2. Turn on the K Head Plug Dongle by pressing and holding its power button.
3. The earpiece and dongle should automatically connect. A voice prompt or a steady blue light on both devices will indicate a successful pairing.

Operating Instructions

1. Making a Transmission (PTT Function):

• To transmit, press and hold the PTT (Push-To-Talk) button located on the wireless earpiece.
• Speak clearly into the microphone.
• Release the PTT button to stop transmitting and listen for a response.

2. Adjusting Volume:

• Use the volume buttons on the earpiece to increase or decrease the listening volume.

3. Wearing the Earpiece:

• Select the ear cap size that provides the most comfortable and secure fit.
• Place the earpiece over your ear, ensuring the earhook is comfortably positioned behind your ear and the ear cap is gently inserted into your ear canal.

Important Note:

• This product is NOT compatible with Motorola and Midland Radios.
• The SAMCOM BTEAR-02 wireless headset is NOT compatible with other wireless devices such as computers, phones, or laptops.
