2. Safety Information
Observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury and damage to the product:
- Electrical Safety: Ensure power is disconnected before installation or maintenance. All wiring should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes.
- Pressure Safety: Verify that the system pressure does not exceed the valve's maximum rated pressure. Depressurize the system before installation or removal.
- Temperature: Do not operate the valve outside its specified temperature range.
- Chemical Compatibility: Ensure the valve materials (SS304 stainless steel) are compatible with the fluid being controlled.
- Proper Installation: Incorrect installation can lead to leaks or operational failure. Follow all installation steps carefully.
3. Product Features
The U.S. Solid Motorized Ball Valve offers several key features for reliable performance:
- IP67 Rating and Waterproof Cover: The actuator is rated IP67, providing protection against dust and temporary immersion in water. An additional protective cover is included to shield the valve from rain, enhancing longevity in outdoor environments.
- 2-Wire Automatic Return Setup: Features a simple two-wire connection. The valve largely de-energizes after opening and automatically returns to a fully closed position when power is removed.
- NPT Threading: Adheres to National Pipe Thread standards for manufacturing and measurement, ensuring compatibility with standard plumbing.
- Full Port Design: Minimizes pressure loss through the valve, making it suitable for applications requiring high flow rates.
- Safe and Reliable: Constructed from SS304 stainless steel, suitable for drinking water applications. Designed for approximately 70,000 operational cycles.

5. Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for proper installation of your motorized ball valve:
- Prepare Connections: Ensure the pipe ends are clean and free of debris. The valve features NPT threading on both sides.
- Apply Thread Sealant: For a watertight seal, apply appropriate thread sealant (e.g., PTFE tape) to the male pipe threads. Wrap the tape clockwise around the threads, ensuring full coverage.
- Thread Valve: Carefully thread the valve onto the pipe ends. Hand-tighten first, then use a wrench to tighten securely, but do not overtighten.
- Mounting: Secure the valve in its desired position, ensuring it is adequately supported and aligned with the piping.
- Install Waterproof Cover: If installing in an outdoor or wet environment, place the provided waterproof cover over the actuator to protect it from rain and moisture.

6. Wiring Diagram
This motorized ball valve utilizes a 2-wire auto-return configuration. The valve is Normally Closed, meaning it is closed when no power is applied. When power is supplied, the valve opens. When power is removed, it automatically returns to the closed position.

Figure 5: Simplified wiring diagram for 2-wire auto-return operation with both DC and AC power examples. Connect the two wires to your 110-230V AC power source.
Internal Components: The actuator houses the motor and control circuitry. For reference, an image of the internal circuit board is provided below.

Figure 7: View of the internal gear mechanism within the actuator housing.
7. Operation
The valve operates based on the presence or absence of electrical power:
- Normally Closed: When no power is supplied to the actuator, the valve remains in the closed position, preventing fluid flow.
- Opening the Valve: Apply 110-230V AC power to the two wires. The actuator will rotate the ball to the open position, allowing fluid flow. Once fully open, the actuator largely de-energizes.
- Closing the Valve: Remove the 110-230V AC power from the two wires. The actuator will automatically return the ball to the closed position.
8. Maintenance
The U.S. Solid Motorized Ball Valve is designed for minimal maintenance. However, periodic checks can ensure optimal performance:
- Visual Inspection: Regularly inspect the valve and actuator for any signs of leaks, corrosion, or physical damage.
- Actuator Cover: Ensure the waterproof cover (if installed) is securely in place and undamaged, especially in outdoor applications.
- Connections: Periodically check pipe connections for tightness to prevent leaks.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the valve and actuator as needed with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the materials.
9. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your motorized ball valve, consider the following:
- Valve Not Opening/Closing:
- Check if power is correctly supplied (for opening) or removed (for closing).
- Verify the voltage matches the valve's specification (110-230V AC).
- Inspect wiring for loose connections or damage.
- Leaks at Connections:
- Ensure pipe threads were properly sealed with PTFE tape or other sealant.
- Check if connections are sufficiently tightened. Do not overtighten.
- Unusual Noise from Actuator:
- This may indicate an internal issue. If the noise persists or is accompanied by operational failure, contact support.
