1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of your Protmex 21V 2.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery. This battery is designed to power Protmex 21V Cordless Car Polishers. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use and retain it for future reference.

2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

  • Always use the battery with compatible Protmex 21V tools and chargers. Using incompatible accessories may cause damage or injury.
  • Do not disassemble, open, or shred battery packs.
  • Do not expose the battery to heat or fire. Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
  • Do not short-circuit a battery pack. Do not store battery packs haphazardly in a box or drawer where they may short-circuit each other or be short-circuited by conductive materials.

  • In the event of battery leakage, do not allow the liquid to come into contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.

4. Setup

4.1 Installing the Battery

  1. Ensure the car polisher is turned off and disconnected from any power source.
  2. Align the battery pack with the battery port on the base of the polisher.
  3. Slide the battery into the port until it clicks securely into place. Do not force the battery.
  4. Gently pull on the battery to ensure it is firmly seated before operation.

4.2 Removing the Battery

  1. Ensure the car polisher is turned off.
  2. Locate the battery release button (usually on the battery itself or the tool).
  3. Press and hold the release button.
  4. Slide the battery out of the polisher.

5. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the battery. Use only the Protmex 21V Polisher Charger (sold separately or included with your polisher kit).

  1. Connect the charger to a standard electrical outlet.
  2. Insert the battery pack into the charger, ensuring proper alignment.
  3. The charger's indicator light will show the charging status (refer to your charger's manual for specific light patterns).
  4. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours for a 2.0Ah battery.
  5. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger. Do not leave batteries on charge indefinitely.

6. Operating the Battery with the Polisher

7. Maintenance

  • Do not immerse the battery in water or any other liquid.
  • Avoid dropping the battery or subjecting it to severe impacts.

7.2 Storage

  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • For long-term storage, it is recommended to store the battery with a partial charge (around 50%). Fully discharging or fully charging for extended periods can reduce battery life.
