5. Setup
5.1. Power Connection
The AZZUNO 200A MIG Welder supports dual voltage input (110V/220V). Use the provided adapter cord to connect the machine to the appropriate power supply. Ensure the power source matches the machine's voltage setting.
5.2. Wire Installation

Figure 4: Wire Spool Installation
The welder accommodates 1LB-10LBS wire spools without needing to change the spool. Open the side panel to access the wire feed mechanism. Ensure the correct drive roller (K-groove for Flux, V-groove for Solid, U-groove for Aluminum) is installed for your chosen wire type (.023"/.030"/.035"/.040" solid and flux core wire, as well as .035"/.040" aluminum wire).
5.3. Gas Connection (for Gas MIG/MAG)
For Gas MIG or MAG welding, connect the gas hose from your shielding gas cylinder to the gas inlet on the back of the machine. Secure with the provided hose bands. Ensure the gas flow rate is set according to your welding parameters.
5.4. Torch and Ground Clamp Connection
Connect the 15AK MIG Torch to the MIG Torch Connector on the front panel. Attach the Ground Clamp to the designated terminal and secure it to your workpiece. For Stick Welding, connect the Electrode Holder to the appropriate terminal.
5.5. Aluminum Welding Options

Figure 5: Aluminum MIG Welding Methods
For aluminum welding, you have two options: 1) Replace the original liner in the MIG torch with the included Teflon liner for a simple setup. 2) For enhanced capabilities, connect a compatible spool gun (LBT150, not included) to the dedicated spool gun port.
6. Operating Modes and Functions
The AZZUNO 200A MIG Welder offers a variety of operating modes to suit different welding needs.
6.1. Welding Modes Selection
Use the control panel to select your desired welding mode (CO2, MIX, Flux, Manual). The SYN function automatically adjusts welding parameters for optimal performance, simplifying setup. You can also manually adjust amperage and voltage.
6.2. Trigger Control Modes (2T/4T/Spot)
- 2T (Two-Touch) Mode: Press and hold the trigger to weld; release to stop. Ideal for short welds.
- 4T (Four-Touch) Mode: Press and release the trigger to start welding; press and release again to stop. Useful for long welds, reducing hand fatigue.
- Spot Welding Mode: For precise, timed spot welds.
6.3. Welding Parameter Table (MIG MIX - 0.8mm Wire)
This table provides recommended settings for MIG MIX welding with 0.8mm wire, based on plate thickness. These are reference values; fine-tune as needed for your specific application.
| Plate Thickness (mm) | Adjust Current (A) | Adjust Voltage (V) |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0-2.0 | 30-110 | 13.4-18.5 |
| 2.0-3.0 | 40-130 | 16.4-19.9 |
| 3.0-4.0 | 80-150 | 19.2-21.3 |
| 4.0-5.0 | 120-180 | 20.8-22.7 |

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your welding machine.
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the machine's exterior and internal components (if accessible and safe) to prevent dust and debris buildup. Use compressed air to clear ventilation openings.
- Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect all cables, including the power cord, MIG torch, ground clamp, and electrode holder, for any signs of damage, fraying, or loose connections. Replace damaged components immediately.
- Contact Tips and Nozzles: Replace worn contact tips and clean or replace clogged nozzles on the MIG torch to ensure consistent wire feed and gas flow.
- Drive Rollers: Keep drive rollers clean and free of debris to prevent wire feeding issues. Ensure they are correctly tensioned for your wire type.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AZZUNO welder, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Check power cord connection, wall outlet, and circuit breaker. Ensure the machine's voltage switch matches the input power.
- No Arc: Verify ground clamp connection, proper wire feed, and correct welding mode selection. Check for tripped O.C. (Over Current) light.
- Poor Weld Quality: Adjust amperage and voltage settings according to the parameter table. Ensure proper gas flow (if applicable) and clean contact tip/nozzle. Check for correct wire tension.
- Wire Feeding Issues: Inspect drive rollers for debris or incorrect size. Check wire spool for tangles or damage. Ensure proper tension on the wire spool.
