7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Camera not connecting to Wi-Fi | Incorrect Wi-Fi password, 5GHz network, camera too far from router, weak signal. | Ensure correct 2.4GHz Wi-Fi password. Move camera closer to router. Reset camera and try pairing again. |
| Frequent false alarms | High motion sensitivity, objects like trees or shadows triggering detection. | Adjust motion detection sensitivity in the VicoHome app. Utilize AI detection settings to filter for people/vehicles. Define activity zones to exclude irrelevant areas. |
| Poor night vision quality | Dirty lens, obstructions, insufficient ambient light for color night vision. | Clean the camera lens. Ensure no obstructions block the view. Switch between white light mode and infrared mode in the app if needed. |
| Battery drains quickly | Frequent motion detection, live view usage, cold weather, solar panel not charging effectively. | Reduce motion detection sensitivity or frequency. Limit live view sessions. Ensure solar panel is clean and receives direct sunlight. Charge camera fully. |
| No recordings or missing footage | SD card full or faulty, cloud storage subscription expired, motion detection not configured. | Check SD card status in app, format or replace if necessary. Verify cloud subscription. Ensure motion detection is enabled and sensitivity is appropriate. |
| App is slow or unresponsive | Poor internet connection, outdated app version, phone storage issues. | Check your phone's internet connection. Update the VicoHome app to the latest version. Clear app cache or reinstall. |
