7. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your air fryer.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the air fryer from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Baskets and Crisper Plates: Wash the cooking baskets and crisper plates in hot soapy water. For stubborn food residue, soak them for about 10 minutes before cleaning. They are generally dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to prolong the non-stick coating.
  3. Interior: Wipe the interior of the air fryer with a damp cloth or non-abrasive sponge. If necessary, use a mild dish soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers.
  4. Exterior: Clean the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  5. Heating Element: If necessary, gently clean the heating element with a soft brush to remove any food debris. Do not use water or cleaning solutions directly on the heating element.
