Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Cooler Master MasterBox 600 White ATX Mid-Tower Case. Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning your PC build to ensure proper assembly and optimal performance.

The MasterBox 600 is designed to offer superior compatibility and thermal performance for modern PC components, including back-connected motherboards, large GPUs, and extensive liquid cooling solutions.

Verify that all components are present before proceeding with installation:

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper setup and installation of your PC components within the MasterBox 600 case.

1. Preparing the Case

1. Place the case on a stable, flat surface.
2. Carefully remove the tempered glass side panel by unscrewing the thumb screws and gently pulling it away. Set it aside on a soft, non-abrasive surface to prevent scratches.
3. Remove the rear metal side panel to access the cable management area.

2. Motherboard Installation

The MasterBox 600 supports ATX motherboards, including back-connected designs.

1. Ensure the correct standoffs are installed for your motherboard form factor.
2. Carefully align your motherboard with the standoffs and I/O shield opening.
3. Secure the motherboard with the provided screws.

3. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation

The PSU mounts at the bottom of the case.

1. Slide the PSU into its designated bay from the rear of the case.
2. Secure the PSU with screws from the rear of the case.

4. Storage Drive Installation

The case supports 2 x 3.5" HDDs and 6 x 2.5" SSDs.

1. For 3.5" HDDs, use the removable drive cage located at the bottom front. Slide the drive into the tray and secure it.
2. For 2.5" SSDs, mount them on the dedicated trays behind the motherboard tray or on top of the PSU shroud.

5. Graphics Card (GPU) Installation

The MasterBox 600 accommodates GPUs up to 410mm in length.

1. Remove the necessary PCIe slot covers from the rear of the case. Note that these are break-away covers and are not reusable.
2. Insert your GPU into the PCIe slot on the motherboard.
3. Secure the GPU with screws.

6. Cooling System Installation (Fans & AIO)

The case supports extensive cooling configurations, including up to a 420mm AIO radiator.

• Install additional fans or liquid cooling radiators as desired. The front panel supports up to 3 x 140mm fans or a 420mm radiator. The top panel supports up to 3 x 120mm fans or a 360mm radiator. The rear supports 1 x 120mm or 140mm fan.
• Ensure proper airflow direction for optimal cooling.

7. Cable Management

Utilize the ample space behind the motherboard tray and the included cable ties for clean cable routing. This is especially beneficial for back-connected motherboards.

8. Front I/O Connections

Connect the front panel cables (USB 3.0, USB 3.2 Gen Type-C, audio, power, reset, LED) to their respective headers on your motherboard.

Operating Instructions

Once all components are installed and cables are connected, replace the side panels and power on your system.

1. Ensure all external peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse) are connected.
2. Connect the power cable to the PSU and a wall outlet.
3. Flip the power switch on the PSU to the 'ON' position.
4. Press the power button on the front I/O panel of the case.
5. Observe system boot-up and fan operation.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and longevity of your MasterBox 600 case and its components.

• Dust Filters: The MasterBox 600 features removable dust filters on the front and top panels, and for the PSU intake. Regularly clean these filters by gently removing them and brushing off accumulated dust or rinsing with water (ensure they are completely dry before reinstallation).
• Interior Cleaning: Periodically open the case and use compressed air to remove dust from fans, heatsinks, and other components. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
• Cable Management: Periodically check cable routing to ensure no cables are obstructing airflow or fan blades.
