1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Vosker VKX Solar Powered 4G-LTE Outdoor Cellular Security Camera. Please read these instructions carefully before using the device.

The Vosker VKX camera is designed for outdoor surveillance in remote areas without Wi-Fi access, utilizing 4G-LTE cellular connectivity and solar power for continuous operation.

2. What's in the Box

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

Before initial use, fully charge the camera's V-LIT-B3 battery using the provided USB-A to USB-C cable and a standard USB charger. This ensures optimal performance from the start.

3.2 SIM Card and MicroSD Card Installation

Locate the waterproof cover at the bottom of the camera. Carefully open it to access the SIM card and MicroSD card slots. Insert the preactivated SIM card and the 32 GB MicroSD card into their respective slots. Ensure the cover is securely closed to maintain IP65 weather resistance.

3.3 App Installation & Pairing

1. Download the Vosker app from your smartphone's app store (available for iOS and Android).
2. Create an account and follow the in-app instructions to add your new VKX camera.
3. The app will guide you through scanning a QR code on the camera to initiate pairing.

3.4 Mounting the Camera and Solar Panel

Choose a suitable outdoor location for your camera, ensuring it has a clear line of sight for surveillance and optimal cellular signal. The camera is IP65 weather-resistant, suitable for all conditions.

Mount the camera using the provided 360-degree swivel & tilt mounting arm or flat mounting plate. Ensure it is securely fastened.

Position the solar panel in an area that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day. Connect the solar panel to the camera's USB-C port using the provided cable. This will ensure continuous charging and extended battery autonomy.

4. Operating the Camera

4.1 On-Demand Video and Photos

The Vosker VKX camera allows you to capture 15-second video clips on demand directly from the mobile app. Continuous recording is not available. You can also program the camera to capture photos continuously when motion is detected.

4.2 Motion Detection and Alerts

The camera features smart motion detection (day & night) with a range of up to 100 feet (30 meters). When motion is detected, the camera can send instant alerts to your mobile app. You can customize detection settings and create activity zones to minimize false alerts.

4.3 Pan, Tilt, and Zoom

Control the camera's pan and tilt functions remotely via the mobile app. The camera offers a 90-degree viewing angle and 360-degree pan capability, allowing you to monitor a wide area. Digital zoom is also available through the app.

4.4 Night Vision

The VKX camera provides clear night vision up to 100 feet. It automatically switches to night vision mode in low-light conditions. Color night vision is also available thanks to its integrated LED lights.

4.5 Two-Way Audio

Utilize the two-way audio feature to listen to the camera's surroundings or speak through the camera's speaker via the mobile app.

4.6 Integrated Deterrent Light

The camera includes an integrated deterrent light that can be activated to signal its presence or deter potential intruders.

4.7 Enhanced Privacy Control

The mobile app allows you to snooze detection for a set duration, providing privacy or pausing monitoring as needed.

5. Maintenance

The solar panel is designed to keep the camera's battery charged year-round under normal sunlight conditions. Ensure the solar panel is clean and free of debris (snow, dust) to maintain charging efficiency. The frameless design helps prevent snow and dust buildup.

The camera features easily swappable batteries accessible from the front for convenient replacement if necessary.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Signal/Connectivity Issues: Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated. Check the cellular signal strength in the camera's location.
• Battery Not Charging: Verify the solar panel is clean and receiving direct sunlight. Check the connection cable between the solar panel and the camera.
• False Motion Alerts: Adjust the motion detection sensitivity and configure activity zones within the app to exclude irrelevant areas (e.g., moving trees).
• Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Vosker app for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
