4. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your Garvee Fuel Caddy. Refer to the diagrams and videos for visual guidance.
4.1 Unpacking and Inspection
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect all parts for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all listed components are present before proceeding with assembly.
4.2 Wheel Installation
- Front Caster Wheels: Attach the two 2-inch universal caster wheels with brakes to the designated mounting plates on the front underside of the tank using the provided hardware. Ensure they are securely fastened.
- Rear Pneumatic Wheels: Insert the shaft into the bearing sleeve of the tank. Place the 8-inch pneumatic wheels onto the shaft, ensuring the wheels face inwards. Secure them with the flat washer and nut.

4.3 Handle Installation
Insert the push handle into the designated slots on the top of the tank. Ensure it clicks securely into place or is fastened with provided bolts.
4.4 Visual Fuel Level Gauge Installation
Screw the visual fuel level gauge into its port on the top surface of the tank. Ensure it is hand-tightened to prevent leaks.

4.5 Two-way Rotary Pump and Hose Connection
- Attach the two-way rotary hand pump to the designated port on the tank. Wrap the raw belt (Teflon tape) around the thread of the tower joint and screw it into the pump body. Lock the clamp. If there is any leakage, you can also wrap raw belt at the tower.
- Connect the 9.8-feet hose with the manual nozzle to the pump's outlet using the provided hose clamps.
- Secure the anti-static grounding clip to the pump assembly.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Filling the Fuel Caddy
- Ensure the fuel caddy is on a level surface and the caster wheel brakes are engaged.
- Unscrew the pre-installed filler neck cap.
- Carefully pour the desired fuel (gasoline or diesel) into the tank. Do not overfill.
- Securely replace the filler neck cap.
5.2 Dispensing Fuel (Forward Pumping)
- Position the fuel caddy near the vehicle or equipment to be fueled. Engage the caster wheel brakes.
- Attach the anti-static grounding clip to a bare metal part of the vehicle or equipment.
- Insert the manual nozzle into the fuel tank of the vehicle/equipment.
- Turn the rotary pump handle in the direction indicated for dispensing (usually clockwise).
- Monitor the fuel level using the visual gauge and the receiving tank. Stop pumping when the desired level is reached.
- Remove the nozzle, allow any residual fuel to drain, and place it back on the hose hanger. Disconnect the grounding clip.

5.3 Siphoning Fuel (Reverse Pumping)
- Position the fuel caddy near the equipment from which fuel needs to be siphoned. Engage the caster wheel brakes.
- Attach the anti-static grounding clip to a bare metal part of the equipment.
- Insert the manual nozzle into the fuel tank of the equipment.
- Turn the rotary pump handle in the direction indicated for siphoning (usually counter-clockwise).
- Monitor the fuel level in the equipment's tank and the fuel caddy's visual gauge. Stop pumping when the desired amount is transferred.
- Remove the nozzle, allow any residual fuel to drain, and place it back on the hose hanger. Disconnect the grounding clip.
6. Maintenance
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check all hoses, connections, pump, and the tank body for any signs of wear, cracks, leaks, or damage. Replace damaged parts immediately.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the fuel caddy with a mild detergent and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the finish or materials.
- Storage: Store the fuel caddy in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the filler cap is securely closed.
- Pump Care: If the pump becomes stiff or difficult to operate, consult the manufacturer's guidelines for lubrication or servicing.
