Installation
The FIREGAS range hood is designed for under-cabinet mounting and offers both ducted and ductless (recirculating) ventilation options. Refer to the included 'Installation Manual' and 'Installation Drawing' for detailed, step-by-step instructions and diagrams.
Ventilation Modes
This range hood is convertible and supports two primary ventilation modes:
- Ducted Mode: Smoke and odors are vented outside through a duct pipe. The unit has a 7-inch round top exhaust port and a 9.92"W x 3.07"H rectangular rear exhaust port.
- Ductless (Recirculation) Mode: Smoke and odors are filtered through an optional charcoal filter (not included, sold separately as FGS-TF39-LW) and recirculated back into the kitchen. The included recirculation sheet is used for this mode.

Electrical Connection
The range hood is hardwired and does not come with a plug. An electrical box (FGS-TF39-DYX, sold separately) may be required for connection. Ensure all wiring is done by a qualified electrician and complies with local electrical codes.
- Pry open the designated hole for wiring.
- Install the black rubber ring and extend the wires from inside the range hood through the hole to the outside.
- Connect the wires on the outside of the range hood, matching colors appropriately.
- Secure the wire connections with white wire caps and tools.

Operation
The FIREGAS range hood features simple rocker switches for controlling the fan speed and LED light.
Fan Speed Control
The unit has a 2-speed fan to adjust airflow based on your cooking needs. Use the rocker switch to select between Low and High speeds.

Cleaning the Aluminum Filters
The multi-layer aluminum filters capture grease and oil. They should be cleaned regularly, typically every 3-6 months depending on cooking frequency, to maintain efficient airflow.
- Ensure the range hood is turned off and unplugged from power.
- Locate the buckle or latch mechanism holding the filter in place.
- Open the buckle and carefully slide the aluminum filter out in a parallel motion.
- Clean the filters using warm soapy water or a dishwasher. For stubborn grease, a degreasing agent can be used.
- Rinse thoroughly and allow the filters to dry completely before re-installing.
- Slide the dry filter back into its slot and secure the buckle.

General Cleaning
Wipe the exterior surfaces of the range hood with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the stainless steel finish.
