The Karoo comes with a 31.8mm Hammerhead Mounting System. Securely attach the mount to your bicycle's handlebars. Ensure the mount is tightened appropriately to prevent movement during rides. If your handlebars are not 31.8mm, you may need an additional adapter (not included) to ensure a secure fit.

4.2 Navigation and Mapping

The Karoo utilizes multi-band GNSS technology for precise location tracking. It offers best-in-class maps and navigation, including free global maps. You can choose preferred surface-specific routing types (road, MTB, gravel) and benefit from instant route syncing from connected accounts. The device also features automatic climb detection, with or without a pre-loaded route.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Device

To clean your Karoo, gently wipe the screen and body with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the display and casing. Ensure the USB-C port cover is securely closed before cleaning to prevent water ingress.

5.2 Battery Care

For optimal battery longevity, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Charge the Karoo using the provided USB-C cable. Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Device Not Powering On

If your Karoo does not power on, ensure it is fully charged. Connect it to a power source using the USB-C cable and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power it on again. If the issue persists, try a different USB-C cable and power adapter.

6.2 GPS Signal Issues

For accurate GPS tracking, ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky. Tall buildings, dense tree cover, or indoor environments can interfere with GPS signal reception. Allow the device a few minutes to acquire a strong signal before starting your ride.

6.3 Connectivity Problems (Sensors/Wi-Fi)

If sensors are not connecting, ensure they are powered on and within range. Try re-pairing the sensor through the Karoo's sensor menu. For Wi-Fi issues, verify your network password and ensure the Karoo is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Restarting both the Karoo and your router can often resolve connectivity problems.

6.4 Handlebar Mount Compatibility

The included mounting system is designed for 31.8mm handlebars. If your handlebars have a different diameter (e.g., 35mm for some MTB bars), the supplied mount may not fit securely. You may need to purchase a compatible adapter from a third-party manufacturer to ensure proper and safe mounting.
