4. Setup
4.1 Air Supply Connection
- Ensure your air compressor is capable of providing the required air pressure and volume (refer to Specifications section).
- Install an air filter/regulator/lubricator (FRL unit) in your air line, as close to the tool as possible. This helps to ensure clean, regulated, and lubricated air, prolonging tool life.
- Apply thread sealant tape to the male threads of the air inlet fitting.
- Thread the air inlet fitting into the tool's air inlet port and tighten securely.
- Connect the air hose from the FRL unit to the air inlet fitting on the tool.
- Set the air pressure regulator to the recommended operating pressure (typically 6.3 bar / 90 psi).
4.2 Socket Installation
- Select the appropriate 3/4 inch impact-grade socket for your application.
- Push the socket firmly onto the square drive until it locks into place. Ensure it is fully seated.
- To remove, pull the socket off the square drive.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 General Operation
- Ensure the workpiece is stable and properly secured.
- Select the desired direction of rotation (forward for tightening, reverse for loosening) using the selector switch.
- Place the socket onto the fastener.
- Press the trigger to start the tool. The impact mechanism will engage as resistance is met.
- Release the trigger to stop the tool.

5.2 Direction and Torque Adjustment
The tool features a forward/reverse selector. The Hazet 9013MTT is designed to deliver high torque. For applications requiring precise torque, always use a calibrated torque wrench for final tightening.
- Forward (Tightening): Move the selector to the 'F' position.
- Reverse (Loosening): Move the selector to the 'R' position. The maximum release torque is 1890 Nm.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your impact wrench.
6.1 Lubrication
- If an FRL unit is not used, add 5-10 drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet before each use or after every hour of continuous operation.
- This lubricates the internal motor components.
6.2 Cleaning and Storage
- Disconnect the air supply before cleaning.
- Wipe down the tool with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use harsh solvents.
- Store the tool in a dry, clean environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Tool does not operate or operates weakly. | Low air pressure; insufficient air volume; clogged air filter; lack of lubrication; worn internal parts. | Check air compressor and regulator settings; inspect air hose for kinks or leaks; clean/replace air filter; lubricate tool; contact service for inspection. |
| Excessive vibration. | Damaged socket; worn internal components. | Replace damaged socket; contact service for inspection. |
