Introduction
The AIXPI Battery Powered Motion Sensor Outdoor Light (Model JY2318) provides bright, reliable illumination for various indoor and outdoor spaces. This floodlight features 1500 lumens of brightness, a highly sensitive motion sensor, and adjustable light panels to ensure wide coverage. Designed for convenience, it operates on D-type batteries, eliminating the need for wiring or solar power, and boasts an IP65 waterproof rating for durability in diverse weather conditions.
Its versatile design allows for installation in locations without direct power access, such as garages, warehouses, driveways, patios, and entryways. The motion sensor activates the light for 20 seconds upon detecting movement, conserving battery life by remaining off during daylight hours.

2. Mounting the Light
- Choose a suitable location for installation, ensuring it is within the desired motion detection range and provides adequate light coverage.
- Secure the separate mounting plate to your chosen surface (wall, fence post, etc.) using the provided screws and wall anchors.
- Align the light unit with the mounted plate and slide it downwards until it securely locks into place.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
After battery installation, locate the power button on the back of the main unit. Press the button to turn the light on. The light will then operate automatically based on motion detection and ambient light conditions.
2. Motion Sensor Functionality
- The integrated motion sensor has a 160° sensing angle and can detect motion up to 50 feet (15 meters) away.
- The light will automatically activate for approximately 20 seconds when motion is detected in a dark environment.
- To conserve battery life, the motion sensor is designed to stop working during daylight hours.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement
When the light's brightness diminishes or it stops activating, it's time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section to replace the three D-type batteries. Always use fresh, high-quality alkaline batteries for optimal performance and longevity.
Cleaning
Periodically wipe the light panels and motion sensor lens with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the unit.
Weather Resistance
The light is IP65 waterproof, designed to withstand rain, snow, and other harsh weather conditions. Ensure the battery compartment is always securely sealed after battery changes to maintain its waterproof integrity.
Troubleshooting
- Light not turning on: Ensure batteries are correctly installed with proper polarity and are not depleted. Check that the power button is in the 'ON' position. The light will only activate in dark conditions when motion is detected.
- Motion sensor not detecting: Verify the motion sensor is not obstructed. Ensure the light is installed within the recommended detection range (up to 50 ft) and angle (160°). Test in varying light conditions to confirm it's dark enough for activation.
- Light stays on constantly: Check for continuous motion within the sensor's range. Ensure the sensor lens is clean and free from debris that might trigger false detections.
- Short battery life: Ensure high-quality D-type alkaline batteries are used. Frequent activation in high-traffic areas will naturally reduce battery life. Extreme cold weather can also impact battery performance.
