2. Safety Information

• Electrical Safety: Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or a person with sufficient electrical knowledge. Always turn off power at the circuit breaker before installation or servicing.
• Grounding: Ensure the fixture is properly grounded to prevent electrical shock.
• Mounting: Mount the light securely on a stable surface. Do not install on unstable or vibrating structures.
• Operating Temperature: Do not operate the light outside its specified temperature range.
• Water Exposure: While IP66 rated, ensure all connections are sealed properly to prevent water intrusion. For optimal longevity, install in a location protected from direct heavy rain, such as under an eave.

The CLY 42W LED Security Light is a high-performance outdoor lighting solution designed for enhanced security and convenience. It features:

• Super Bright Illumination: 42W, 3600LM output with 6500K daylight white light for clear and uniform coverage.
• Adjustable Light Heads: Three adjustable heads allow for customized light coverage. The two small heads can rotate 180° horizontally and 90° vertically. The main head and motion sensor can rotate 180° vertically.
• PIR Motion Sensor: Detects motion with a 180° sensing angle and adjustable detection distance up to 12 meters (39.37 ft).

5. Setup & Installation

The CLY 42W LED Security Light is designed for easy installation on ceilings or walls. A 1-meter cable is provided for connection to the power supply.

5.1 Wiring Instructions

1. Turn off Power: Before starting, ensure the power to the installation area is turned off at the circuit breaker.
2. Identify Wires: The light fixture has three wires: black (live), white (neutral), and green/yellow (ground).
3. Connect Wires: Connect the corresponding wires from the fixture to your household wiring using the provided wire nuts. Ensure connections are secure.
4. Secure Gasket: Place the provided gasket between the mounting surface and the fixture's base to ensure a watertight seal.

5.2 Mounting the Fixture

1. Attach Mounting Bracket: Secure the 180° adjustable mounting bracket to the desired location (wall or ceiling) using the provided screws.
2. Mount Light Fixture: Attach the light fixture to the mounting bracket, ensuring the wires are properly tucked into the junction box and the gasket is in place.
3. Adjust Heads: Adjust the three light heads and the motion sensor to your preferred angles for optimal coverage.
4. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions

The CLY 42W LED Security Light offers multiple operating modes and adjustable settings via the included remote control.

6.1 Remote Control Functions

• ON/OFF: Turns the light on or off.
• Mode 1 (24 Hours Detection): Light activates upon motion detection day and night.
• Mode 2 (Only Night Detection): Light activates upon motion detection only at night.
• Mode 3 (Constant On): Light stays on continuously.
• Mode 4 (Timing Function): Sets the light to stay on for 1 hour, 2 hours, or 3 hours. After the set time, it automatically switches to sensor mode.
• Lighting Duration (for Mode 1 & 2): Adjustable to 45s, 90s, 120s, 5mins, or 10mins.
• Detection Distance (for Mode 1 & 2): Adjustable to 50% (approx. 6m/19.68ft), 80% (approx. 9m/29.53ft), or 100% (approx. 12m/39.37ft).
• Brightness Adjustment: Adjust brightness between 10% and 100% in all modes.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Periodically clean the light fixture and motion sensor lens with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Inspection: Regularly check for any loose connections, damaged wiring, or signs of wear. Address any issues promptly.
• Sensor Placement: Ensure the motion sensor is not obstructed by plants, debris, or other objects that could interfere with its detection capabilities.

8. Troubleshooting

• Light does not turn on:
  • Check power supply and circuit breaker.
  • Ensure wiring connections are secure.
  • Verify the light sensor is not obstructed or in a brightly lit area during night detection mode.
• Motion sensor not detecting:
  • Adjust detection distance and sensitivity settings.
  • Clear any obstructions in front of the sensor.
  • Ensure the sensor is angled correctly to cover the desired area.
• Light stays on continuously:
  • Check if the light is set to 'Constant On' mode (Mode 3).
  • Reduce motion sensor sensitivity if false triggers are occurring.
  • Ensure the sensor is not affected by environmental factors like strong winds or heat sources.
