3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to properly set up your Bedsure Heated Mattress Pad:

1. Prepare Your Bed: Ensure your mattress is clean and dry.
2. Position the Pad: Lay the heated mattress pad flat on top of your mattress, ensuring it is centered and smooth.
3. Secure the Pad: Stretch the deep pocket elastic band around the corners and sides of your mattress. The elastic band is designed to fit mattresses up to 18 inches thick and prevent slipping.
4. Connect Coupler Wire: For Queen size pads with dual controllers, run the coupler wire from the pad to the left side of the bed, as indicated in Figure 5.
5. Connect Power Cord: Connect the power cord from the controller to the right side of the bed, as indicated in Figure 5. Ensure both controllers are connected to their respective sides of the pad.
6. Plug In: Plug the power cords from the controllers into standard 120V AC, 60Hz wall outlets. Avoid using extension cords if possible.
7. Place Bedding: Cover the heated mattress pad with your fitted sheet and other bedding as usual.

4. Operating Instructions

Each controller operates independently for its respective side of the mattress pad.

• Power On/Off: Press the power button (⏻) to turn the pad on or off.
• Adjust Heat Settings: Use the "TEMP+" and "TEMP-" buttons to cycle through 10 heating levels (L1 to L10). Start with a lower setting and adjust as needed for your comfort.
• Set Timer: Use the "TIME+" and "TIME-" buttons to set the auto-off timer from 1 to 12 hours. The pad will automatically shut off after the selected duration. The default auto shut-off is 8 hours if no timer is set.
• Preheat Function: Press the "PREHEAT" button to quickly warm the pad before you get into bed. This function rapidly heats the pad to a comfortable temperature.
• Memory Function: The controller will remember your last used heat and time settings, restoring them automatically the next time you turn the pad on.

Important: Always ensure the controller is placed on a flat, stable surface and not covered by bedding while in use to prevent overheating of the controller itself.

5. Care and Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life of your heated mattress pad. Always disconnect the power cords from the wall outlet and the mattress pad before cleaning.

• Machine Wash: The Bedsure Heated Mattress Pad is machine washable. Use mild soap and cold water on a slow cycle for 2 minutes.
• Rinse: Rinse on a normal cycle with cold water.
• Spin Dry: Spin dry on a slow cycle for 1 minute to remove excess water.
• Air Dry: Drape the mattress pad over a clothesline or shower rod to air dry completely. Do not use clothespins that might pinch the wires. Ensure the pad is completely dry before reconnecting to power.
• Do Not Dry Clean: Dry cleaning solvents may damage the insulation of the heating elements.
• Do Not Iron: Ironing can damage the heating elements and fabric.
• Storage: When not in use, store the mattress pad in a cool, dry place. Avoid folding it tightly or placing heavy objects on it, which could damage the internal wiring.

Your safety is paramount. Please adhere to the following safety guidelines:

• Do not use with infants, children, incapacitated persons, or anyone insensitive to heat.
• Do not use if wet.
• Do not use with adjustable beds unless specifically designed for it.

• Ensure the controller is always placed in an open area, not covered by bedding, to prevent overheating.
