This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your TX-850 metal detector.
2. Product Overview and Features
The TX-850 metal detector is equipped with an 11-inch DD waterproof search coil and an LCD display for clear indication. Its design emphasizes sensitivity to small, low-conductivity metals like gold nuggets, while also functioning effectively for general treasure hunting.

- High Sensitivity: Optimized for detecting small gold nuggets and various metals.
- Advanced Ground Balance System: Allows the detector to ignore ground minerals and focus on metal objects.
- Target ID: Classifies different metal types on a scale of 0-100 for identification.

3. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your ROROLL TX-850 metal detector:
- Attach the Search Coil: Secure the 11-inch DD search coil to the lower stem using the provided bolt and nut. Ensure it is firmly attached but allows for slight angle adjustment.
- Connect the Lower and Middle Stems: Insert the lower stem into the middle stem and secure it with the spring clips.
- Connect the Upper Stem and Control Housing: Attach the middle stem to the upper stem, which includes the control housing and armrest. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Adjust Stem Length: Adjust the stem to a comfortable length using the adjustable stem mechanism. The detector's length can be stretched from 42 to 52 inches (107cm to 130cm).
- Install Battery: Open the battery compartment on the control housing and insert one 9V battery (not included), ensuring correct polarity.
- Connect Coil Cable: Wrap the search coil cable around the stem and plug the connector into the corresponding port on the control housing. Ensure the connection is tight to prevent interference.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
Press the 'POWER' button on the control panel to turn the detector on or off. The LCD screen will illuminate upon activation.
4.2 Operating Modes
The TX-850 offers 5 distinct operating modes, selectable via the 'MODE' button:
- All Metal Mode: Detects all types of metals without discrimination. Useful for general searching or when the target metal type is unknown.
- Disc/Notch Mode: Allows you to discriminate against unwanted metals. Adjust the discrimination level to ignore specific target IDs (e.g., iron).
- Memory Mode: Recalls the last used settings, providing convenience for continuous use.
- Jewelry Mode: Specifically designed to ignore iron and focus on detecting jewelry.
- Pinpointer Mode (PP): Activates a precise positioning function to accurately locate the exact spot of a detected object. Press the 'GG PIN POINT' button to engage.
