3.2 Component Installation
- Motherboard Installation: Remove the side tempered glass panel. Align your ATX or smaller form factor motherboard with the standoffs inside the case and secure it with the provided screws.
- Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation: Install your PSU into the dedicated bottom mount compartment. Ensure proper cable routing through the cutouts.
- Storage Drive Installation:
- For 3.5" HDDs, utilize the drive cage located in the PSU shroud area.
- For 2.5" SSDs, mount them on the designated SSD trays behind the motherboard tray or in the PSU shroud area.
- Graphics Card (GPU) Installation: Insert your graphics card into the appropriate PCIe slot on your motherboard. The case supports large GPUs, including the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series.
- Cooling System: The case comes with 3 pre-installed ARGB PWM fans (two intake on the side, one exhaust at the rear). Additional fans or radiators can be installed on the top (up to 360mm radiator) or rear (120/140mm radiator) for enhanced cooling.
- Cable Management: Utilize the ample space behind the motherboard tray and the included cable ties to manage cables neatly. This improves airflow and aesthetics. The pre-installed fans are daisy-chained for simplified ARGB and power connections.

4. Operation
Once all components are securely installed and connected, you can power on your system. The front I/O panel provides convenient access to power, reset, audio jacks, USB 3.0, and USB Type-C ports.
The pre-installed ARGB fans can be controlled via your motherboard's ARGB software (if connected to an ARGB header) or through the case's integrated lighting control button on the I/O panel, allowing for various lighting effects and colors.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your PC case and components.
- Dust Filter Cleaning: The MONTECH XR case is equipped with magnetic dust filters on the top, bottom, and side panels. Regularly remove and clean these filters to prevent dust buildup and maintain optimal airflow. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner for this purpose.
- Exterior Cleaning: Use the provided microfiber cloth or a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces, including the tempered glass panels. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the finish.
- Internal Dust Removal: Periodically, with the system powered off and unplugged, use compressed air to remove dust from internal components and fan blades.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your MONTECH XR case, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- System Not Powering On:
- Ensure the PSU is properly connected to the wall outlet and the power switch on the PSU is in the 'ON' position.
- Check all power connections to the motherboard (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU) and graphics card.
- Verify the front panel power switch cable is correctly connected to the motherboard's header.
- Fans Not Spinning or RGB Not Working:
