5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Device

  1. Locate the charging port on the Nilox Tracker LT-T28. It is typically covered by a rubber flap to ensure water resistance.
  2. Open the rubber flap and connect the provided charging cable to the device.
  3. Connect the other end of the charging cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.

  5. Once charged, disconnect the cable and securely close the rubber flap over the charging port to maintain IP67 water resistance.

5.2 Mounting on Handlebars

  2. The Nilox Tracker LT-T28 is designed for universal fit. Open the mounting clamp by unscrewing the bolt if necessary.
  3. Place the bell around the handlebar at the desired position.
  4. Secure the clamp by tightening the bolt until the bell is firmly attached and does not rotate freely. Do not overtighten.

5.3 Pairing with iOS FindMy Application

Important: The Nilox Tracker LT-T28 is exclusively compatible with Apple iOS devices and the Apple FindMy network. It does not support Android devices.

  1. Ensure your iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch) is running the latest version of iOS.
  2. Open the FindMy app on your iOS device.
  3. Tap the Items tab at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Tap + Add Item, then select Other Supported Item.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to put your Nilox Tracker LT-T28 into pairing mode. This usually involves pressing and holding a button on the device until it emits a specific sound or light pattern. Refer to the device's quick start guide for exact pairing instructions if different.
  6. Once detected, tap Connect on your iOS device.
  7. Give your Nilox Tracker LT-T28 a name (e.g., "My Bike Bell") and assign an emoji if desired.
  8. Confirm the pairing. Your Nilox Tracker LT-T28 will now appear in the Items tab of your FindMy app.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Using the Bike Bell

To operate the electronic bike bell, simply press the trigger mechanism located on the side of the bell. A clear, audible sound will be emitted to alert pedestrians and other cyclists of your presence.

6.2 Using the Tracking Function (iOS FindMy)

Once paired with your iOS device, you can track the location of your Nilox Tracker LT-T28:

  1. Open the FindMy app on your iOS device.
  2. Navigate to the Items tab.
  3. Select your Nilox Tracker LT-T28 from the list of items.
  4. The app will display the current or last known location of your bike bell on a map.
  5. You can also tap Play Sound to make the bell emit a sound, helping you locate it if it's nearby.
  6. For more detailed navigation, tap Directions to get turn-by-turn directions to your item's location.
  7. If your item is lost, you can enable Lost Mode in the FindMy app. This will allow you to receive notifications when its location is updated and display a message and contact number to anyone who finds it.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

To clean your Nilox Tracker LT-T28, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the device's finish or internal components. Ensure the charging port cover is closed during cleaning.

7.2 Water and Dust Resistance (IP67)

The Nilox Tracker LT-T28 is rated IP67, meaning it is protected from dust ingress and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. While it is resistant to splashes and rain, it is not designed for prolonged underwater use. Always ensure the charging port cover is securely sealed to maintain its water resistance.

7.3 Battery Care

To maximize battery life:

  • Charge the device regularly, especially if it will be stored for an extended period.
  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
