Note: Three HDMI 2.1 cables are required for full functionality (two for computers, one for the monitor) and are NOT included in the package. Please prepare these separately.

4. Setup Instructions
Important: Please power off all devices (computers and monitor) before making any connections.
- Connect Monitor: Connect one end of an HDMI 2.1 cable (not included) to the 'HD OUT' port on the KVM switch and the other end to your monitor's HDMI input.
- Connect Computers (Video):
- For PC1: Connect one end of an HDMI 2.1 cable (not included) to the 'HD IN (PC1)' port on the KVM switch and the other end to the HDMI output of your first computer.
- For PC2: Connect one end of an HDMI 2.1 cable (not included) to the 'HD IN (PC2)' port on the KVM switch and the other end to the HDMI output of your second computer.
- Connect Computers (USB for Control):
- For PC1: Connect one of the included USB 3.0 cables to the 'USB 3.0 (PC1)' port on the KVM switch and the other end to a USB 3.0 port on your first computer. This connection is essential for powering the KVM switch and enabling keyboard/mouse control.
- For PC2: Connect the second included USB 3.0 cable to the 'USB 3.0 (PC2)' port on the KVM switch and the other end to a USB 3.0 port on your second computer. This connection is also essential for powering the KVM switch and enabling keyboard/mouse control.
Warning: You must connect both USB 3.0 cables from the KVM switch to your computers for the device to function correctly and receive power.
- Connect Peripherals: Plug your USB keyboard, mouse, and any other USB 3.0 peripherals (e.g., printer, U-disk, gamepad) into the available USB 3.0 ports on the front of the KVM switch.
- Connect Wired Remote Switch (Optional): Plug the wired remote switch into the 'CTRL' port on the front of the KVM switch. Place the remote in an easily accessible location on your desk for quick switching.
- Power On: Once all connections are secure, power on your monitor and then your computers. The KVM switch is plug-and-play and does not require additional drivers.

5. Operating Instructions
The Hearvo KVM Switch offers two convenient methods for switching between connected computers:
- On-Device Button: Press the 'SWITCH' button located on the front panel of the KVM switch to toggle between PC1 and PC2. The LED indicators (PC1, PC2) will illuminate to show which computer is currently active.
- Wired Remote Switch: Use the included wired remote switch to change between PC1 and PC2. Simply press the button on the remote. This is ideal for keeping the KVM switch out of sight while maintaining easy access to switching functionality.
Note: This KVM switch does not support hotkey switching via keyboard commands.

Adaptive EDID Functionality
The KVM switch features Adaptive EDID technology to ensure stable and smooth image transmission. This means the switch will automatically optimize display settings and remember your desktop icon and window locations when switching between computers, preventing rearrangement and ensuring a seamless user experience.
For Windows 11 users, ensure the "Remember window locations" option is enabled in your display settings for optimal Adaptive EDID performance.

7. Troubleshooting
- No Display/Signal:
- Ensure all HDMI cables are securely connected to the correct ports on the KVM switch, computers, and monitor.
- Verify that the HDMI cables used are HDMI 2.1 compliant for 8K resolutions.
- Check if both USB 3.0 cables from the KVM switch are connected to your computers. These cables provide power to the KVM switch.
- Try restarting the computers and monitor.
- Keyboard/Mouse Not Responding:
- Ensure the USB 3.0 cables from the KVM switch are properly connected to your computers.
- Try plugging the keyboard and mouse into different USB 3.0 ports on the KVM switch.
- Some specialized gaming keyboards/mice may require direct connection to the computer or may not be fully compatible with KVM switches.
- Screen Flickering or Instability:
- Ensure the HDMI cables are of high quality and support the desired resolution and refresh rate.
- Check for updated graphics drivers on your computers.
- The Adaptive EDID feature should prevent most display issues. If problems persist, ensure your monitor's EDID settings are correctly configured.
- Screen is Black for 3-5 Seconds During Switching:
- This is normal behavior. The screen will go black briefly as the HDMI signals are re-identified during the switching process.
