PChero Solar Tea Lights (Model LC009) - Instruction Manual

Your guide to setting up, operating, and maintaining your PChero Solar Tea Lights.

1. Setup and Initial Use

Before first use, ensure your PChero Solar Tea Lights are properly prepared for charging and operation.

1.1 Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully remove all tea lights from their packaging. Inspect each unit for any visible damage. The package includes 12 solar tea lights and internal batteries.

1.2 Activating the Tea Lights

Locate the switch on the bottom of each tea light. Set this switch to the "ON" position. The tea lights will not charge or operate if the switch is in the "OFF" position.

1.3 Initial Charging and Placement

Place the solar tea lights in a location where the solar panel on top of each light receives direct sunlight for 6-8 hours. This initial charge is crucial for optimal performance. Avoid shaded areas, as this will reduce charging efficiency and subsequent illumination time.

For best results, ensure the solar panel is clean and unobstructed.

2. Operating Instructions

The PChero Solar Tea Lights are designed for automatic, hassle-free operation.

2.1 Automatic Dusk to Dawn Functionality

Once the bottom switch is set to "ON" and the tea lights have received sufficient sunlight, they will automatically illuminate at dusk and turn off at dawn. This is managed by a built-in light sensor.

2.2 Realistic Flickering Glow

The LED flame is designed to mimic the soft, warm, flickering glow of a traditional candle, providing ambiance without the hazards of an open flame, wax drips, or smoke.

2.3 Runtime

After a full charge of 6-8 hours in direct sunlight, the tea lights will provide approximately 8-10 hours of illumination.

3. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your solar tea lights.

3.1 Cleaning

Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean solar panel ensures maximum charging efficiency.

3.2 Waterproofing

The tea lights are rated IP54 waterproof, meaning they are protected against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction. They are suitable for outdoor use in various weather conditions, including rain. However, avoid submerging them in water.

Multiple solar tea lights placed outdoors in a garden during rain, demonstrating IP54 waterproof rating.

3.3 Storage

If storing the tea lights for an extended period, ensure they are fully charged and turn the bottom switch to the "OFF" position. Store them in a cool, dry place.

4. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your solar tea lights, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Tea Light Does Not Turn On:
    • Ensure the bottom switch is in the "ON" position.
    • Verify the solar panel is receiving direct sunlight for adequate charging (6-8 hours).
    • Test the light sensor: Cover the solar panel completely with your hand. If the switch is "ON" and the unit is charged, the tea light should illuminate immediately.
  • Short Illumination Time:
    • Confirm the solar panel is clean and free from obstructions.
    • Ensure the tea light is placed in a location that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day.
    • Battery runtime may naturally be shorter during fall and winter months due to reduced sunlight intensity and duration.
  • Flickering Irregularities:
    • Ensure the tea light is fully charged. Low battery can affect flickering consistency.
