  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

Setup and First Use

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the waffle maker and all packaging materials. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Wipe the nonstick cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly.
  3. Preheating: Plug the waffle maker into a 120V AC electrical outlet. The red indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the unit is powered on. Turn the browning knob to your desired setting (LOW to HIGH). The green indicator light will illuminate when the waffle maker has reached the set temperature and is ready for use.
  4. Seasoning (First Use Only): For the first use, it is recommended to lightly brush or spray the nonstick cooking plates with a small amount of cooking oil. This helps to condition the plates and ensure optimal nonstick performance.

Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare Batter: Prepare your favorite waffle batter. Ensure the batter consistency is appropriate for waffle making.
  2. Preheat: Plug in the waffle maker and allow it to preheat until the green indicator light illuminates.
  3. Add Batter: Open the lid. Pour approximately 4 tablespoons of batter into each of the four waffle sections. Do not overfill, as excess batter may overflow. The anti-overflow channel is designed to catch minor spills.
  4. Close and Cook: Carefully close the lid. The waffle maker features a cool-touch handle for safe operation.
  5. Flip (Optional): For even cooking and browning, you may gently flip the waffle maker 180 degrees during the cooking process. This ensures both sides of the waffles cook uniformly.
  6. Monitor Browning: Use the browning knob to select your preferred waffle crispness, from soft to crispy. The green indicator light will turn off during cooking and re-illuminate when the waffles are ready.
  7. Remove Waffles: Once cooked to your preference (typically around 3 minutes), carefully open the lid. Use a heat-resistant, non-metallic utensil (e.g., wooden or silicone spatula) to remove the waffles. Avoid using metal utensils to prevent damage to the nonstick coating.
  8. Repeat: Close the lid to allow the waffle maker to reheat for the next batch. The green light will indicate readiness.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your waffle maker.

  1. Cool Down: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Clean Plates: The nonstick plates are easy to clean. Simply wipe them with a damp cloth or sponge. For stubborn residue, a small amount of mild dish soap can be used, followed by wiping with a clean damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the nonstick coating.
  3. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the waffle maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  4. Anti-Overflow Channel: The wrap-around channel is designed to catch excess batter. Clean this area thoroughly after each use to prevent buildup.
