Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your keyboard, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the keyboard. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Dust Removal: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keys.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Liquid Spills: In case of a liquid spill, immediately disconnect the keyboard from power and wipe it dry. Allow it to air dry completely before reconnecting.

Troubleshooting

If Keys Do Not Input as Engraved (Layout Mismatch)

If your computer is treating the keyboard as a Japanese layout instead of the US layout, you will need to adjust your computer's settings. Follow the instructions below for your specific operating system:

  2. On the left side, click Language. On the right side, select English for Windows display language.
  3. Under Preferred languages, select Japanese, then click Options.
  4. On the Hardware keyboard layout page, click Change layout.
  5. A new window will pop up. Select US keyboard (101/102 key) and click Restart now.

For Windows 11:

  1. From the bottom left of the screen, click the Start button (Windows mark), then click Settings (gear icon), then click Time & Language.
  2. On the left side, click Language & region.
  3. Under Language, select Japanese, then click the three dots (...) and click Language options.
  4. Under Keyboards, click Change layout.
  5. A new window will pop up. Select US keyboard (101/102 key) and click Restart now.

For Mac:

  1. Go to System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Type.
  2. When the keyboard assistant starts, click Continue on the bottom right.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen and press the 'Z' key.
  4. Select ANSI (US keyboard) and click Done.

For Android:

Settings > System > Languages & input > Physical keyboard > 101/104 English keyboard.

※ Settings may vary depending on your device. Please refer to your device's instruction manual for details. If you are using an Android device with a Japanese layout, you may need to install a third-party keyboard app to use the US layout.
