The BEBASIA Smart Fingerprint Door Lock is designed for easy installation, typically taking around 15 minutes, with no extra drilling required for standard doors. It is compatible with US Standard doors ranging in thickness from 1 3/8 inches to 2 3/16 inches (35mm-55mm).

4.1 Door Compatibility

This lock is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed doors. The direction can be adjusted during installation or via the app.

4.2 General Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the door: Ensure your door meets the thickness and bore hole requirements (2-1/8 inch or 54mm bore holes).
  2. Install the latch and strike plate.
  3. Install the exterior keypad assembly.
  4. Install the interior unit, connecting the cable from the exterior assembly.

Your BEBASIA Smart Lock offers various ways to secure and access your property.

6.1 Unlocking Methods

  • Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the sensor.
  • App: Use the smartphone app to remotely unlock (requires gateway, sold separately) or unlock via Bluetooth when nearby.
  • Web Portal: Manage and unlock via a web interface (requires gateway, sold separately).
  • IC Cards: Tap a registered IC card on the designated area of the keypad.
  • Passcode: Enter your programmed passcode on the touchscreen keypad.
  • eKey Sharing: Share temporary electronic keys with guests via the app.
  • Backup Keys: Use the physical backup keys for manual unlocking.
  • Thumb Turn: Manually unlock from the inside using the thumb turn.

6.2 Locking Methods

  • Auto-Lock: Set the auto-lock duration (5-900 seconds) via the app. The lock will automatically engage after the set time.
  • One-Touch Locking: Press and hold the '#' key on the keypad for 2 seconds to activate one-touch locking.

To enable remote unlocking and voice control features, a BEBASIA gateway (sold separately) is required. Once connected:

  • Remote Unlock: Unlock your door from anywhere using the app.
  • Voice Control: Integrate with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for hands-free control.
  • Real-time Access Logs: View who entered and when, directly from your app.
  • Status Check: Monitor the lock's status (locked/unlocked, battery level) remotely.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Battery Replacement

The lock requires 4 AA batteries (not included). The app will display the current battery level, allowing you to replace them before they are fully depleted. When batteries are low, the lock may also provide an audible or visual alert.

  2. Replace the old batteries with new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Replace the battery cover.
