2. Safety Information

5. Setup and Installation

5.1. Preparation

  1. Turn off power at the main circuit breaker or fuse box.
  2. Carefully unpack all components and inspect for any damage.
  3. Gather necessary tools: screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, ladder, safety glasses.

5.2. Mounting the Fixture

  1. Attach the mounting crossbar to the junction box in the ceiling using the provided mounting screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  2. Thread the fixture wires through the center hole of the crossbar.

5.3. Wiring Connections

  1. Connect the bare copper ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box (usually bare copper or green) using a wire nut. Secure the ground wire to the mounting crossbar with the green ground screw.
  2. Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
  3. Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
  4. Ensure all wire nuts are tightly secured and wrap connections with electrical tape for added safety.
  5. Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box.

5.4. Securing the Fixture

  1. Align the fixture body with the mounting screws on the crossbar.
  2. Secure the fixture to the ceiling by tightening the decorative nuts or screws provided.

5.5. Attaching Crystals

The K9 crystals are individually attached to the fixture. Refer to the diagram below for general placement, or follow the specific pattern if provided with your packaging.

  1. Carefully remove each crystal element from its protective packaging.
  2. Locate the small hooks on each crystal and the corresponding loops or holes on the chandelier frame.
  3. Attach each crystal by gently hooking it onto the designated loop. Work from the inside out or top down for easier assembly.

5.6. Installing Bulbs

  1. Insert four E12 base bulbs (not included) into the sockets. Do not exceed 60W per bulb.
  2. Turn on power at the main circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions

Once installed, the chandelier operates like any standard ceiling light fixture.

  • Turning On/Off: Use the wall switch connected to the fixture to turn the chandelier on or off.
  • Dimming Function: If a compatible dimmer switch is installed (not included), you can adjust the light intensity by operating the dimmer switch. Ensure that the bulbs used are also dimmable.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

  • Fixture Body: Wipe the metal parts with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or polishes as they may damage the finish.
  • Crystals: Gently wipe crystals with a soft, damp cloth. For a deeper clean, a mild glass cleaner can be sprayed onto a cloth (not directly onto the crystals or fixture) and then used to wipe the crystals. Ensure no liquid enters the electrical components.

7.2. Bulb Replacement

  • WARNING: Always turn off power at the main circuit breaker before replacing bulbs.
  • Allow bulbs to cool completely before touching them.
  • Unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new E12 base bulb, not exceeding 60W.
