1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, setup, operation, and maintenance of your BEBASIA BA2H Fingerprint Door Lock with Handle Sets. This smart lock system offers multiple access methods, including fingerprint, passcode, Bluetooth app, IC cards, and traditional physical keys, enhancing both security and convenience for your home or office.

3. Product Overview

The BEBASIA BA2H Smart Door Lock integrates multiple security features into a sleek design. The exterior unit features a touchscreen keypad, fingerprint sensor, and a traditional keyhole. The interior unit includes a manual turn knob, a lock/unlock button, and a battery compartment. The handle sets provide a comfortable grip and complement the lock's aesthetic.

4. Installation

Before beginning installation, ensure your door meets the compatibility requirements:

  • Door Thickness: 1.38 inches to 1.97 inches (35mm-50mm)
  • Backset: 2-3/8 inches or 2-3/4 inches (60mm or 70mm)
  • Hole Diameter: 2-1/8 inches (54mm)
  • Latch Hole: Chiseled

The lock is compatible with most US standard left-handed and right-handed doors.

Installation Steps:

  1. Remove your existing door lock and handleset.
  2. Install the latch and strike plate into the door frame.
  3. Install the exterior handleset and deadbolt unit, ensuring proper alignment.
  4. Connect the cable from the exterior unit to the interior unit.
  5. Secure the interior handleset and deadbolt unit with screws.
  6. Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) into the interior unit's battery compartment.
  7. Test the lock's basic functionality before proceeding to app setup.

5. Setup

After physical installation, configure your smart lock for optimal use:

5.1. App Setup (Bluetooth)

  1. Download the recommended smart lock application from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Create an account and log in.
  3. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and follow the in-app instructions to pair with your BEBASIA lock.
  4. Once paired, you can manage lock settings, view access logs, and unlock/lock the door via the app.

5.2. Adding Fingerprints

The lock supports up to 50 unique fingerprints. Follow the app's instructions to register new fingerprints. You will typically be prompted to place your finger on the sensor multiple times from different angles.

5.3. Adding Passcodes

You can set up to 250 passcodes. The app allows you to generate various types of passcodes: one-time, permanent, timed, recurring, or custom codes for different users. These can be shared with guests or service providers.

5.4. Adding IC Cards

The lock includes 3 IC cards and supports up to 1000. To add an IC card, follow the app's instructions to register the card by tapping it against the designated area on the lock.

5.5. Remote Access & Voice Control (Gateway Required)

For remote locking/unlocking, real-time status checks, and voice control via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, an additional gateway (sold separately) is required. Pair the gateway with your lock and home Wi-Fi network according to the gateway's instructions.

6. Operating Instructions

Your BEBASIA smart lock offers several ways to operate:

6.1. Unlocking the Door

  • Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock if recognized.
  • Passcode: Enter your programmed passcode on the keypad, followed by the '#' key.
  • Bluetooth App: Use the paired smartphone app to send an unlock command.
  • IC Card: Tap a registered IC card against the lock's sensor.
  • Physical Key: Insert and turn the backup key in the keyhole.

6.2. Locking the Door

  • One-Touch Locking: Press and hold the '#' key on the keypad for 2 seconds.
  • Auto-Lock: Configure auto-lock duration (5-900 seconds) via the app. The lock will automatically engage after the set time.
  • Manual Locking: Use the turn knob on the interior unit.
  • Bluetooth App: Use the paired smartphone app to send a lock command.

6.3. Advanced Modes

  • Privacy Mode: Activated from the interior, this mode prevents external access methods (fingerprint, passcode, IC card) from unlocking the door.
  • Silent Mode: Disables all sound notifications from the lock.
  • Passage Mode: Keeps the door unlocked for continuous access during specific periods.
  • Anti-Peeping Password: Allows you to enter random digits before or after your actual passcode to prevent others from guessing your code.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Battery Replacement

The BEBASIA BA2H lock requires 4 AA batteries. When batteries are low, the app will notify you, and the lock may emit an audible warning. To replace batteries:

  1. Slide up the battery cover on the interior unit.
  2. Remove the old batteries.
  3. Insert new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Replace the battery cover.

7.2. Cleaning

Clean the lock's exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Lock does not respond: Check battery levels and replace if necessary. Ensure the lock is properly installed and all cables are connected.
  • Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Try re-registering your fingerprint in the app.
  • Keypad not lighting up: Touch the keypad to activate it. If it still doesn't light up, check batteries.
  • System locks up after multiple wrong entries: The system will lock for 2 minutes after 5 incorrect passcode/fingerprint/IC card attempts. Wait for the lockout period to expire.
  • Cannot connect via Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and you are within range of the lock. Restart the app or your phone if issues persist.
  • Remote access not working: Verify that the optional gateway is properly installed, powered, and connected to your Wi-Fi network. Check the app for gateway status.
