1. Introduction

The UGREEN FineTrack Smart Finder is a compact and efficient Bluetooth tracker designed to help you locate your valuable items using the Apple Find My network. This device is exclusively compatible with iOS, iPadOS, and macOS systems, leveraging Apple's advanced encryption for privacy and security.

Key features include a 2-year replaceable battery, global tracking capabilities, smart alerts for left-behind items, and a childproof design certified to UL4200A standards.

2. What's in the Box

Please ensure all items are present upon unboxing:

• UGREEN FineTrack Smart Finder
• CR2032 Battery (pre-installed or included separately)
• User Manual (this document)
• Stickers for customizable labeling (included with the item tracker)
• Stuck Needle (for battery compartment access)

3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your UGREEN FineTrack Smart Finder with your Apple device:

1. Pull out the insulation paper: If present, gently pull out the insulation paper from the battery compartment. Hold the button on the Smart Finder for two seconds to turn it on.
2. Enable Find My and Bluetooth: On your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, ensure that the "Find My" app is enabled and Bluetooth is turned on.
3. Add Item in Find My: Open the "Find My" app. Navigate to the "Items" tab. Tap on "Add Item" and then select "Other Supported Item".
4. Connect and Name: Your device will begin searching for the Smart Finder. Once detected, select "SmartTag" (or similar name) and tap "Connect". Follow the on-screen prompts to name your Smart Finder and assign an emoji.

Important Note:

• Compatibility: This device is compatible only with iOS, iPadOS, and macOS systems. Android devices are not supported.
• MacBook Binding: macOS systems only support viewing the FineTrack's positioning information; direct binding is not supported.

4. Operating Instructions

Once set up, your UGREEN FineTrack Smart Finder offers several functionalities:

4.1 Global Tracking

Track your lost item anywhere in the world using the Find My app. The location is updated by nearby Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, or Mac) on the Find My network.

4.2 Play Sound to Locate

When your lost item is nearby, you can play a loud sound from the Smart Finder to quickly pinpoint its exact location. Open the Find My app, select your Smart Finder, and tap "Play Sound". The device will emit an 80dB alarm.

4.3 Left-Behind Reminder

Receive instant notifications on your Apple device if you leave your tagged item behind at a certain distance. This feature helps prevent accidental loss.

4.4 Share Tag with Others

For shared items, you can share the Smart Finder's location with up to five other people. This feature is supported on iOS 17.0 and above.

5. Maintenance and Battery Replacement

The UGREEN FineTrack Smart Finder is designed for long-term use with a replaceable battery.

5.1 Battery Life and Monitoring

The Smart Finder uses a CR2032 button battery, providing up to 2 years of battery life. You can check the current battery level anytime through the Find My app on your Apple device.

5.2 Replacing the Battery

When the battery is low, replace it with a new CR2032 battery. The design is childproof and requires a specific tool for opening.

1. Insert Stuck Needle: Insert the included stuck needle (or a similar thin tool) into the small hole on the top of the Smart Finder. This will release the battery cover.
2. Replace Battery: Carefully remove the old CR2032 battery. Insert the new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) polarity facing up.
3. Close Cover: Align the battery cover into position and press gently until it clicks securely into place.

Safety Certification:

The UGREEN FineTrack Smart Finder has obtained UL4200A certification, ensuring a childproof design that prevents accidental opening and ingestion of the button battery. The structure is robust and designed to withstand bumps.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your UGREEN FineTrack Smart Finder, please refer to the following common solutions:

• Cannot Connect/Bind to iPhone:
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone.
  • Verify the Find My app is active and you are in the "Items" tab.
  • Make sure the Smart Finder is powered on (check battery and insulation paper removal).
  • Try restarting your iPhone and the Smart Finder (by temporarily removing and reinserting the battery).
  • Ensure your iOS version is compatible (iOS 14.5 or later is generally required for Find My network accessories).
• No Sound from Smart Finder:
  • Confirm the Smart Finder is within Bluetooth range of your Apple device or a device on the Find My network.
  • Check the battery level in the Find My app. A low battery might affect sound output.
• Inaccurate Location Tracking:
  • Location accuracy depends on the density of Apple devices on the Find My network. In remote areas, updates might be less frequent.
  • Ensure your Apple device has a stable internet connection for map updates.
• Android Devices Not Supported:

  The UGREEN FineTrack Smart Finder is designed exclusively for Apple's Find My network and is not compatible with Android devices. There is no official app or functionality for Android.
• MacBook Only Shows Positioning:

  As noted in the setup, macOS systems can view the FineTrack's positioning information but do not support direct binding or full functionality like playing sound or precision finding.
