1. Introduction

The Keychron B6 Pro is a versatile, ultra-slim, full-size wireless keyboard designed for seamless connectivity across multiple operating systems. 3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Keyboard

Before initial use, fully charge the keyboard using the provided USB-C cable. Connect the USB-C end to the keyboard's port and the USB-A end to a power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter). The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

The Keychron B6 Pro boasts an impressive battery life of up to 1200 hours, which translates to approximately 8 months of daily use (5 hours per day) on a single charge.

3.2 Connecting via 2.4 GHz Wireless

  1. Locate the 2.4GHz USB-A receiver included in the package.
  2. Plug the receiver into an available USB-A port on your computer.
  3. On the keyboard, slide the connection mode switch to the "2.4G" position.
  4. The keyboard should automatically connect to your device.

3.3 Connecting via Bluetooth 5.2

  1. On the keyboard, slide the connection mode switch to the "BT" (Bluetooth) position.
  2. Press and hold the Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3 key combination for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. The indicator light will blink rapidly.
  3. On your device (computer, tablet, or phone), open Bluetooth settings and search for "Keychron B6 Pro".
  4. Select the keyboard to pair. The indicator light will turn solid once connected.
  5. You can connect up to three devices and switch between them using Fn + 1, Fn + 2, or Fn + 3.

3.4 Connecting via Wired (USB-C)

  1. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to your computer's USB port.
  3. Slide the connection mode switch on the keyboard to the "Cable" position.
  4. The keyboard will function as a wired keyboard and will also charge simultaneously.

3.5 Switching Operating Systems

The Keychron B6 Pro is compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux systems. Use the dedicated switch on the side of the keyboard to select your operating system for optimal key mapping.

4. Operation

4.1 Key Functions and Multimedia Keys

The B6 Pro features a full-size layout with a numeric keypad and dedicated function keys. For Mac users, it provides the same multimedia and function key operations as Apple keyboards, enhanced with tactile feedback. Standard Windows multimedia functions are also supported.

4.2 ZMK Customization and Keychron Launcher

The Keychron B6 Pro supports ZMK customization, allowing you to remap any key and create macros. You can achieve this easily using the Keychron Launcher web app. Simply connect the keyboard to your device via the USB-C cable, open the web app, and drag-and-drop your desired key assignments or macro commands. This feature provides a fluid workflow across macOS, Windows, and Linux.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

  • Turn off the keyboard before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the keycaps and surface.
  • For dust and debris between keys, use compressed air or a small brush.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasives, or excessive moisture.

5.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the keyboard is turned off to preserve battery life.

6. Troubleshooting
