Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your rice cooker, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Water splatters or overflows during cooking. | Too much water or too much rice; rice not rinsed sufficiently. | Reduce the amount of rice or water. Ensure rice is thoroughly rinsed to remove excess starch. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line. |
| Rice sticks to the bottom or is slightly burnt. | Insufficient water; cooking time too long; rice not fluffed after cooking. | Adjust water ratio slightly (e.g., add a little more water). Unplug the cooker shortly after it switches to 'Keep Warm' if consistently overcooked. Gently fluff rice immediately after cooking is complete. |
| Cooker does not turn on. | Not properly plugged in; power outage. | Check power cable connection at both the cooker and the wall outlet. Ensure the outlet has power. |
| Controls are confusing or unresponsive. | Incorrect button usage; temporary electronic glitch. | Ensure you are touching, not pressing, the capacitive buttons. Unplug the unit for a few minutes and then plug it back in to reset. Refer to the 'General Operation' section. |
