2. Safety Instructions
- Always unplug the machine from the power outlet when not in use, when changing needles, or when performing maintenance.
- Keep fingers away from the needle, presser foot, handwheel, and other moving parts during operation.
- Do not operate the machine if the power cord is damaged or if the machine is not functioning correctly. Contact customer support for assistance.

4. Setup
4.1 Power Connection
- Ensure the machine's power switch is in the 'OFF' position.
- Insert the power adapter plug into the Power Plug port on the machine (refer to Figure 3.1).
- Plug the adapter into a suitable electrical outlet (6V/9W).
- If using the foot pedal, insert its plug into the Foot Plug port (refer to Figure 3.1).
4.2 Bobbin Winding
The machine features a self-winding quick-winding bottom line system. Refer to the detailed instructions in the full manual for specific steps on winding the bobbin correctly.
4.3 Threading the Machine
Proper threading is crucial for smooth operation. Follow the numbered guides on the machine for correct upper thread path. Ensure the thread passes through the Upper Thread Tightness Adjustment and the needle eye.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Selecting Stitch Patterns
The machine offers 12 types of straight and curved stitches. Use the Stitch Adjustment dial (refer to Figure 3.1) to select the desired stitch pattern. Rotate the dial until the indicator aligns with the chosen stitch number.
5.2 Starting to Sew
- Place the fabric under the presser foot.
- Lower the presser foot using the Presser Foot Lever (refer to Figure 3.2).
- Turn on the machine.
- Gently press the foot pedal or use the handwheel to start sewing.
5.3 Reverse Stitching
To reinforce seams, press and hold the Reverse Stitch lever (refer to Figure 3.1) while sewing. The machine will sew backward. Release the lever to resume forward stitching.
5.4 Sewing Thick Materials
The UFR-608A is equipped with a high-power motor designed to handle up to 8 layers of thick denim. Ensure the correct needle size is used for the fabric thickness.
5.5 Using the Night Light

The built-in flashlight (night light) provides illumination for your sewing area. Activate it using the designated switch (refer to Figure 3.1 for flashlight location).
5.6 Double Needle Sewing

5.7 Using the Extension Table

For larger projects, attach the extension table to increase your working area. This effectively expands the space, making it easier to handle big garments.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Machine
- Always unplug the machine before cleaning.
- Use a soft brush or lint-free cloth to remove dust and lint from the needle area, bobbin case, and feed dogs.
- Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
6.2 Changing the Needle
- Ensure the machine is unplugged.
- Loosen the Thimble Screw (refer to Figure 3.2) that holds the needle in place.
- Remove the old needle and insert a new one, ensuring the flat side of the needle faces the back of the machine.
- Tighten the Thimble Screw securely.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Skipped Stitches: Check if the needle is bent or dull. Ensure the needle is inserted correctly and fully tightened. Verify that the machine is threaded properly.
- Thread Breaking: Check for correct threading, proper tension (Upper Thread Tightness Adjustment), and ensure the thread is not tangled or snagged. Use good quality thread.
- Machine Jamming: Remove any tangled thread from the bobbin area and under the presser foot. Ensure the bobbin is correctly inserted.
- Uneven Stitches: Check thread tension. Ensure the fabric is fed evenly and not pulled or pushed excessively.
