5. Installation

5.1 Monitor Compatibility

IMPORTANT: This camera requires a monitor that supports AHD 1080P 25HZ/PAL video format and has an RCA connector. It is not compatible with standard dash cams, GPS units, or mirror cams that do not support this specific AHD signal.

5.2 Mounting Options

The TTXSCAM-E03 camera offers two installation methods: bracket mounting and flush mounting. Choose the method that best suits your vehicle and desired camera position (rear, front, or side).

5.3 Wiring Diagram

Follow the appropriate wiring diagram based on whether your head unit has a trigger wire.

  1. Test the backup camera before routing the video cable.
  2. Connect trigger wire A with B if your head unit has a trigger wire (Wire Program 1).
  3. If no trigger wire is needed, connect as per Wire Program 2.
  4. Start the vehicle and engage reverse gear to test the camera.

5.4 Switcher Loop Cables

The camera features three switcher loop cables (white, orange, green) to customize its functionality. After cutting any cable, remember to reconnect the power supply for changes to take effect. Cables can be reconnected if needed.

  • White Cable: Cut to switch from mirror image (rear view default) to non-mirror image (front view).
  • Orange Cable: Cut to switch from AHD video signal to CVBS video signal. Use this if your monitor does not support AHD 1080P 25HZ (PAL) video settings.
  • Green Cable: Cut to disable the parking guideline display.

6. Operation

Once installed and powered, the camera will automatically activate when the vehicle's power source (e.g., reverse light positive) is engaged. The video feed will display on your compatible monitor, providing a clear view of the area behind, in front, or to the side of your vehicle, depending on its installation location and cable settings.
