This diagram highlights the various display components of the Raddy DT6 Weather Station. Key indicators include CH 1/2/3 Temp/Humidity, Ventilation Display, Weather Forecast, Barometer, Time/Day/Date, Ice Warning, Trends, Comfort Level, Moon Phase, High/Low Temp Alarm, and Indoor Temperature/Humidity.
5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit and the wireless sensor.
- Insert the required batteries (2 x AA for the sensor, main unit may use adapter or additional batteries, refer to product specifications for details) ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartments securely.
5.2 Sensor Placement

Figure 5.1: Remote Sensor Placement and Range.
This image illustrates the placement of the wireless remote sensor outdoors, typically near a door, and the main unit indoors, such as next to a computer. It highlights the wireless transmission range of up to 330ft, ensuring reliable data transfer between the sensor and the main station.
Place the wireless outdoor sensor in a shaded, dry location, away from direct sunlight and rain, to ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings. The sensor has a transmission range of up to 330ft (100m) in open air. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or electrical appliances that may interfere with the signal.
5.3 Main Unit Placement
Place the main unit indoors on a flat surface, such as a desk or shelf, where it can receive signals from the outdoor sensor and the DCF radio signal (if applicable). Ensure it is not near heat sources or direct sunlight.
5.4 DCF Signal Reception
Upon initial setup, the weather station will automatically attempt to receive the DCF radio signal for time synchronization. This process may take several minutes or hours depending on your location and signal strength. Ensure the unit is placed away from electronic devices that might cause interference.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Display Readings
The main display shows various information:
- Time and Date: Current time, day of the week (in 7 languages), and date.
- Indoor Temperature and Humidity: Current readings for the main unit's location.
- Outdoor Temperature and Humidity: Readings from the connected wireless sensor(s). The display automatically cycles through up to 3 sensors every 5 seconds.
- Weather Forecast: Icons indicating predicted weather conditions for the next 12 hours (sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy, snowy).
- Barometric Pressure: Current atmospheric pressure.
- Moon Phase: Displays the current phase of the moon.
- Comfort Indicator: Shows the indoor comfort level based on humidity (Dry, OK, Wet).
- Trends: Arrows indicating temperature, humidity, and pressure trends.
- Ice Alert: An icon appears when outdoor temperatures approach freezing.
- Ventilation Prompt: Icons suggest when to open or close windows for optimal indoor air quality.

- Sensor Care: Periodically check the outdoor sensor for any debris or moisture accumulation. Ensure its placement remains optimal for accurate readings.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No outdoor temperature/humidity reading | Sensor out of range, low sensor battery, interference. | Move sensor closer to main unit, replace sensor batteries, relocate away from interference sources. |
| Incorrect temperature/humidity readings | Sensor exposed to direct sunlight/rain, poor ventilation. | Relocate sensor to a shaded, dry area with good airflow. |
| DCF time not synchronizing | Weak signal, interference, incorrect time zone setting. | Move unit to a window, away from electronics. Manually set time zone. Initiate manual DCF search. |
| Display is dim or blank | Low main unit battery or power issue. | Replace main unit batteries or ensure power adapter is connected and working. Adjust backlight level. |
