The integrated battery provides up to 8 hours of operation, ensuring internet access throughout the day. Up to 10 devices can be connected simultaneously via the Wi-Fi network. 3.1. Buttons and Ports

4. Setup

4.1. Inserting the SIM Card

  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
  2. Locate the SIM card slot.
  3. Insert a Nano-SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner aligned correctly.
  4. Gently push the SIM card until it clicks into place.

4.2. Charging the Device

  1. Connect the USB charging cable to the device's USB port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The battery indicator LED will show charging status. Charge the device fully before first use.

4.3. Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the indicators light up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the indicators turn off.

5. Operating the Device

5.1. Connecting to Wi-Fi

  1. Turn on the ZTE U50 router.
  2. On your Wi-Fi enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), search for available Wi-Fi networks.
  3. Select the network name (SSID) of your ZTE U50 router. The default SSID and password are usually found on a sticker inside the battery compartment or on the device itself.
  4. Enter the Wi-Fi password when prompted.
  5. Once connected, you can access the internet.

5.2. Changing Wi-Fi Settings (Web Interface)

  1. Connect your device to the ZTE U50 Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open a web browser and enter the default IP address (e.g., 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) into the address bar. Refer to the device label or quick start guide for the exact IP.
  3. Enter the administrator username and password (default is often admin for both).
  4. Navigate to the Wi-Fi settings section to change the SSID, password, security type (WPA2-PSK recommended), and other network parameters.
  5. Save your changes and restart the router if prompted.

5.3. USB Connectivity (Power Bank Function)

The ZTE U50's USB port can be used to provide power to other devices, such as smartphones or tablets. Connect your device to the router's USB port using an appropriate cable to initiate charging.

6. Using the ZTE Link App

The ZTE Link app simplifies the management of your ZTE U50 router from your smartphone.

  1. Download the ZTE Link app from your device's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store).
  2. Connect your smartphone to the ZTE U50 Wi-Fi network.
  3. Open the ZTE Link app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your router.
  4. Through the app, you can monitor data usage, manage connected devices, change Wi-Fi settings, check battery status, and update firmware.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge it regularly.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check for firmware updates via the ZTE Link app or the web interface to ensure optimal performance and security.

8. Troubleshooting
