Setup

1. Insert SIM Card or Activate eSIM

Your Motorola G85 5G supports Dual SIM functionality (one Nano-SIM slot and one eSIM).

  1. Locate the SIM tray slot on the bottom edge of the phone.
  2. Insert the SIM tray ejector tool into the small hole next to the tray and press firmly until the tray pops out.
  3. Place your Nano-SIM card into the tray with the gold contacts facing down. Ensure it is seated correctly.
  4. Carefully reinsert the SIM tray into the phone.
  5. To activate an eSIM, navigate to Settings > Network & internet > SIMs and follow the on-screen instructions to add a new eSIM.

2. Charge the Battery

Before first use, fully charge your phone's 5000 mAh battery using the provided USB-C cable and a compatible power adapter (sold separately).

  1. Connect the USB-C cable to the phone's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a power adapter and plug it into a wall outlet.
  3. The charging indicator will appear on the screen.

3. Power On and Initial Setup

Press and hold the power button on the right side of the phone until the Motorola logo appears. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial setup, including language selection, Wi-Fi connection, Google account setup, and security settings.

Operating Your Device

Display

The Motorola G85 5G features a 6.67-inch pOLED display with FHD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals and responsive touch interactions. Adjust display settings such as brightness, dark theme, and refresh rate in Settings > Display.

Camera

Your phone is equipped with a versatile camera system:

Open the Camera app to access various modes, including Photo, Portrait, Video, and more. Tap on the screen to focus and use the on-screen controls to adjust settings.

Battery Management

The 5000 mAh battery provides over 34 hours of usage on a single charge. To optimize battery life, manage background app usage, reduce screen brightness, and enable battery saver mode when needed. Monitor battery usage in Settings > Battery.
