Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Wipe the keyboard's surface with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes.

2. Storage

Store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humidity. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

3. Battery Replacement

If using batteries, replace all six AA batteries when the power indicator dims or the keyboard functions become unstable. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Check if the power adapter is securely connected or if batteries are correctly inserted and charged.
  • No Sound: Ensure the master volume is turned up. If headphones are connected, sound will only output through them. Check headphone connection.
  • Keys Not Responding: Verify the keyboard is powered on. If specific keys are unresponsive, consult the full owner's manual or Yamaha support.
  • Distorted Sound: Reduce the master volume. Check for interference from other electronic devices.
