4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Charging the Headset

  1. Connect the supplied Type C Charging Cable to the headset's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, wall adapter).
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours.
  4. Note: The headset cannot be used while it is charging.

4.2 Attaching the Microphone

Insert the detachable omni-directional microphone into the designated port on the left earcup until it clicks into place. Ensure the foam tip is securely placed on the microphone for optimal voice clarity.

5. Connection Modes

The OXS Storm G2 headset offers three versatile connection options:

5.1 2.4GHz Wireless Connection

This mode provides ultra-low latency audio for gaming.

  1. Plug the 2-in-1 2.4G Wireless Dongle (Type A or Type C) into a compatible port on your PC, laptop, PS4/PS5, Nintendo Switch, or mobile phone.
  2. Power on the headset. It will automatically attempt to connect to the dongle.
  3. A successful connection is indicated by a stable light on the dongle and headset.

5.2 Bluetooth 5.3 Connection

Ideal for mobile devices, laptops, and Nintendo Switch.

  1. Power on the headset.
  2. Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button (refer to headset controls diagram in the physical manual) until the indicator light flashes, indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your device, navigate to Bluetooth settings and select "OXS Storm G2" from the list of available devices.
  4. Once connected, the indicator light on the headset will become stable.

5.3 3.5mm AUX Wired Connection

For universal compatibility with devices featuring a 3.5mm audio jack, including Xbox consoles.

  1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm AUX Cable to the headset's 3.5mm audio port.
  2. Connect the other end to the 3.5mm audio jack on your device (e.g., PC, console controller, mobile phone).
  3. The headset will automatically switch to wired mode.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds.

6.2 Volume Control

Use the volume roller/buttons located on the earcup to adjust the audio output level.

6.3 EQ Modes

The headset features three preset Equalizer (EQ) modes to optimize your audio experience:

  • Surround Mode (7.1 Virtual Surround Sound): Enhances spatial audio for immersive gaming.
  • Game Mode: Tuned for gaming audio, emphasizing footsteps and in-game cues.
  • Music Mode: Optimized for music playback with balanced audio.

6.4 Microphone Usage

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Sound:
    • Ensure the headset is powered on and properly connected (2.4GHz dongle, Bluetooth, or 3.5mm AUX).
    • Check the volume levels on both the headset and your connected device.
    • Verify that the correct audio output device is selected in your device's sound settings.
  • Microphone Not Working:
    • Ensure the detachable microphone is securely attached and not muted.
    • Check microphone input settings on your connected device.
    • Test with the built-in microphone if the detachable one is removed.
  • Connection Issues:
    • For 2.4GHz wireless, ensure the dongle is firmly plugged in and within range.
    • For Bluetooth, ensure the headset is in pairing mode and your device's Bluetooth is enabled. Try unpairing and re-pairing.
    • For wired connection, ensure the 3.5mm cable is fully inserted into both the headset and the device.
  • Headset Does Not Charge or Hold Charge:
    • Ensure the Type C charging cable is connected correctly to a working power source.
    • Important Note: The headset is designed not to operate while charging. This is a safety and battery preservation feature.
    • If battery life is significantly shorter than expected (40H lights off, 24H lights on at 50% volume), contact customer support.
