The TS500 is designed to be a versatile team and home storage center, offering secure and accessible data management with advanced features like VPN exclusive channels, Samba, and DLNA protocols.

2. Product Overview
The ORICO TS500 is a high-capacity Network Attached Storage (NAS) enclosure featuring 5 drive bays, supporting up to 110TB of storage. It is engineered for both individual and team use, providing a centralized solution for data storage, sharing, and access from anywhere.

4. Setup
Follow these steps for the initial setup of your ORICO TS500:
- Install Hard Drives: Push the hard drives into the NAS bays. The TS500 supports tool-free installation.
- Download Welink APP: Search for "Welink" in your device's App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), or download from welink.io.
- Connect Device: Use the Welink APP to scan the QR code on your ORICO TS500 to connect it to your mobile device or PC.
- Start Storage Journey: Once connected, you can begin managing your storage through the Welink APP.
- Format Hard Disk: Navigate to Settings > Node Space in the APP and format the hard disk as required. Confirm the formatting process.

5. Operating Instructions
The ORICO TS500 offers various modes of operation for data management and sharing:
5.1 Data Access and Management
Utilize the dedicated Welink APP on your PC or mobile device to access and manage your files. The app provides a user-friendly interface for organizing documents, photos, and videos.

5.2 Remote Access with VPN
The TS500 features an exclusive VPN channel, ensuring secure remote access to your data without passing through public cloud servers. This peer-to-peer connection enhances data privacy and security.
5.3 Multimedia Sharing (Samba & DLNA)
- Samba: Enable Samba protocol to share files across multiple devices within your local network, making it easy to access your NAS content from various computers and smart devices.
- DLNA: Use DLNA to stream media content (videos, photos, music) directly from your TS500 to DLNA-compatible devices such as smart TVs, gaming consoles, and media players.
5.4 RAID Configuration
The ORICO TS500 supports various RAID modes (RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 10) to optimize for speed or data redundancy based on your needs. Refer to the Welink APP settings for configuring your preferred RAID setup.

5.5 File Compatibility

6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ORICO TS500, consider the following maintenance guidelines:
- Cooling: The built-in fan actively cools the device. Ensure proper ventilation around the unit and avoid blocking air vents. Regularly check for dust accumulation and clean if necessary to maintain efficient airflow.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check for firmware updates through the Welink APP or ORICO's official website. Updates often include performance improvements, bug fixes, and new features.
- Data Backup: While RAID configurations offer data redundancy, it is always recommended to maintain external backups of critical data.
- Environmental Conditions: Operate the device in a stable environment, away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and excessive humidity.
