3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Numpad

3.2 Connectivity Options

The 8BitDo Retro 18 Mechanical Numpad supports three connection modes: Bluetooth, 2.4G Wireless, and Wired (USB-C).

3.2.1 2.4G Wireless Connection

  1. Locate the 2.4G wireless adapter stored magnetically in the numpad's rear compartment.

  3. Plug the 2.4G wireless adapter into an available USB port on your Windows or Android device.
  4. Set the mode switch on the numpad to '2.4G'. The numpad will automatically connect.

3.2.2 Bluetooth Connection

  1. Set the mode switch on the numpad to 'BT'.
  2. On your Windows or Android device, enable Bluetooth and search for new devices.
  3. Select '8BitDo Retro 18' from the list of available devices to pair.

3.2.3 Wired Connection

  1. Connect the numpad to your Windows or Android device using the provided USB-C cable.
  2. The numpad will function automatically in wired mode.
