Setup and Initial Adjustment

Setting Time and Date

  1. Pull the Crown: Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) out to the first or second position.
  2. Set the Date: If your watch has a date function, pull the crown out to the first position and rotate it clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the date.
  3. Set the Day: If your watch has a day function, pull the crown out to the first position and rotate it in the opposite direction to adjust the day.
  4. Set the Time: Pull the crown out to the second position. Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Ensure you set the correct AM/PM for the date change to occur at midnight.
  5. Push the Crown Back: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into its original position to start the watch and ensure water resistance.

Bracelet Adjustment

The stainless steel bracelet can be adjusted by removing or adding links to achieve a comfortable fit. An adjustment tool is typically included with the watch. It is recommended to remove an equal number of links from both sides of the clasp to maintain balance.

Operating Instructions

Wearing the Watch

Place the watch on your wrist and secure the push-button hidden clasp. Ensure the watch is snug but not too tight, allowing for comfortable movement and preventing skin irritation.

Luminous Function

The watch features a luminous coating on its hands and markers. Exposure to light will charge the luminous material, allowing the time to be read in dark environments. The intensity and duration of the glow depend on the exposure time and intensity of light.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and smudges. For the stainless steel bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Water Resistance

This watch is water-resistant to 30 meters (100 feet). This means it can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water, such as during hand washing or light rain. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or showering, as hot water and steam can compromise the seals. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.

Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a quartz battery. When the watch stops or the second hand begins to skip, it indicates a low battery. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch Not Running:
    • Check if the crown is fully pushed in.
    • The battery may need replacement. Consult a watch technician.
  • Date/Day Not Changing Correctly:
    • Ensure the time is set to the correct AM/PM. The date/day typically changes around midnight.
    • Adjust the date/day manually as described in the "Setting Time and Date" section.
  • Condensation Inside Dial:
    • This may indicate a breach in water resistance. Avoid further contact with water and seek professional service immediately.
