The charger includes two independent charging channels, each with dedicated battery and balance ports. A speed shuttle key allows for easy navigation through menus and settings. Additionally, a USB 5V port is available for charging external devices, and an update port is provided for firmware upgrades.

Setup

1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the HOTA D6 Pro charger and all accessories from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Ensure all components listed in the packing list are present.

2. Power Connection

Connect the provided AC power cable to the AC input port on the back of the charger and then to a suitable wall outlet (AC 100-240V). Alternatively, for DC input, connect a DC power source (6.5-30V) to the DC input port using an XT60 connector.

3. Initial Power-On

Once powered, the charger will perform a self-check and display the main interface on its IPS screen. The fan may activate upon power-on.

Operating Instructions

1. Navigating the Interface

Use the 'CH' button to switch between Channel 1 and Channel 2. The speed shuttle key (red wheel) is used to scroll through menu options and adjust settings. A short press confirms a selection, and a long press typically exits a menu or stops a task.

2. Connecting Batteries

Connect your battery's main power lead to the XT60 output port for the desired channel (CH1 or CH2). For balanced charging, also connect the battery's balance lead to the corresponding balance port. The charger supports 1S to 6S balance leads directly.

3. Selecting a Task

From the main screen, select the desired channel (CH1 or CH2). Press the speed shuttle key to enter the task settings. You can choose from the following tasks:

4. Setting Battery Parameters

After selecting a task, adjust the battery type, cell voltage (for LiPo/LiHv), cell count (S), and current setting (Amps). Always ensure these settings match your battery's specifications to prevent damage.

Charging Current (1C Rule): For most LiPo batteries, it is recommended to charge at a "1C" rate. This means the charging current in Amps should be equal to the battery's capacity in Amp-hours (Ah). For example, a 750mAh (0.75Ah) battery should be charged at 0.75A. Some batteries may support higher charge rates (e.g., 2C or 3C); always refer to your battery's manufacturer specifications.

5. Wireless Charging

The HOTA D6 Pro features a wireless charging pad on top. Simply place a compatible mobile device (e.g., iPhone X, iPhone 8, Samsung S8) on the pad to initiate wireless charging.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting

1. "Battery Polarity Connected Wrong" Error

This error indicates that the battery's main power lead is connected with incorrect polarity. Immediately disconnect the battery and re-connect it with the correct positive and negative terminals aligned.

2. "Abnormal Battery Connection" Error

This error can occur if the balance lead is not properly connected or if there is an issue with the battery's internal balance. Ensure the balance lead is fully inserted and check the battery for any physical damage.

3. Charger Not Starting Task

Verify that all battery parameters (type, cell count, voltage, current) are correctly set according to your battery's specifications. Ensure both the main power lead and balance lead (if required for the task) are securely connected. The charger may also prevent starting if a safety parameter (e.g., max capacity, safety timer) is exceeded or if the battery's internal resistance is too high.

4. Fan Always On

The charger's fan may run continuously to maintain optimal operating temperature. This is normal behavior, especially during high-power charging tasks. If the fan noise is a concern, check system settings for volume adjustments, though continuous fan operation is often for cooling efficiency.
