5. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully unpack the fixture and inspect it for any damage during transit. Ensure all components listed in the "What's in the Box" section are present.
- Mounting:
- Choose a suitable mounting location that can support the weight of the fixture.
- Use appropriate clamps (e.g., quick lock clamps) to secure the fixture to a truss or other stable structure.
- Always attach a safety cable to the fixture and the mounting structure as a secondary safety measure.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cable to the "POWER IN" port on the fixture and then to a grounded power outlet.
- DMX Connection (Optional): For DMX control, connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller's output to the "DMX IN" port of the first fixture. For multiple fixtures, daisy-chain them by connecting the "DMX OUT" of one fixture to the "DMX IN" of the next.
- Initial Power On: Flip the main power switch to turn on the fixture. The LCD display will illuminate.
6. Operating Modes
The SHEHDS 100W LED Moving Head Light offers several operating modes to suit various applications:
- DMX512 Mode: This is the most common mode for professional control. Connect the fixture to a DMX controller and set the DMX address using the control panel. Refer to the DMX Channel table for specific functions.
- Master/Slave Mode: Link multiple fixtures together. Set one fixture as the "Master" and the others as "Slave." The slave units will mimic the master's movements and effects.
- Sound Activated Mode: The fixture will react to sound and music, changing patterns and colors in sync with the audio input.
- Auto Running Mode: The fixture will cycle through pre-programmed shows and effects automatically.
- Color Jumping Mode: The fixture will rapidly switch between different colors.
- Stand-alone Strobe Mode: The fixture will operate as a standalone strobe light with adjustable flash frequency.
Use the LCD display and menu keys on the control panel to navigate and select the desired operating mode and adjust settings.
