5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Straightening Hair
- Ensure the flat iron is heated to your desired temperature.
- Divide your hair into small, manageable sections (approximately 1-2 inches wide).
- Take one section of hair and place it between the heating plates, close to the roots.
- Gently clamp the plates together and glide the flat iron slowly down the hair section from root to tip. Maintain a consistent speed to ensure even heat distribution.
- Repeat on the same section if necessary, but avoid excessive passes to minimize heat exposure.
- Continue with the remaining sections until all hair is straightened.
5.2. Creating Curls or Waves
The rounded plates of this flat iron allow for versatile styling, including curls and waves.
- Ensure the flat iron is heated to your desired temperature.
- Take a small section of hair.
- Clamp the flat iron around the hair section, about an inch or two from the roots.
- Rotate the flat iron 180 degrees (half turn) away from your face.
- Slowly glide the flat iron down the hair shaft, maintaining the rotation. The hair will wrap around the barrel created by the rounded plates.
- Release the hair when you reach the ends. Allow the curl to cool before touching it to set the style.
- Repeat for all sections. For softer waves, gently brush through the curls after they have cooled.
6. Care and Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning
- Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces and heating plates with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the ceramic tourmaline coating.
- Ensure no water or moisture enters the appliance.
6.2. Storage
- Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before storing.
- Engage the plate-locking switch to keep the plates closed for compact storage.
- Store the appliance in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children.
- Do not wrap the cord around the appliance, as this can cause damage over time.
