1. Introduction and Overview

2. Important Safety Information

To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury, observe the following safety precautions:

  • Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
  • Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.

4. Setup

The Comfort Zone CZ12809 Tower Space Heater comes ready to use with no assembly required. Simply place the heater on a firm, level surface.

  • Ensure the heater is placed on a stable, flat surface to prevent accidental tipping.
  • Maintain a minimum distance of 3 feet (0.9 m) from walls, furniture, and other objects to ensure proper airflow and prevent fire hazards.
  • Plug the heater directly into a 120V AC, 60Hz electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.

5. Operating Instructions

The heater can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

  • Power On/Off: Press the power button (U) on the control panel or remote to turn the unit on or off.
  • Temperature Setting: Use the up (^) and down (v) arrows to set the desired temperature between 50°F and 90°F (10°C and 32°C). The heater will cycle to maintain this setting.
  • Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to cycle through the available settings: High Heat (1500W), Low Heat (750W), ECO Mode, and Fan Only.
  • ECO Mode: When selected, the heater will operate to maintain a constant 68°F (20°C), adjusting its power consumption for energy efficiency. The ECO LED light illuminates when active and the ambient temperature is below 68°F/20°C.

  • Cleaning: Always unplug the heater before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or allow water to drip into the heater.
