Before First Use

  1. Unpack the roaster oven and all its components. Remove any packaging materials, stickers, or labels.
  2. Wash the removable pan, roasting rack, and lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the roaster oven base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
  4. Place the removable pan inside the roaster oven base, then insert the roasting rack into the pan.
  5. It is recommended to operate the empty roaster oven for 30 minutes at 350°F (175°C) before first use to burn off any manufacturing oils. Ensure adequate ventilation during this process.

Temperature Control and Functions

The HEYNEMO Electric Roaster Oven features a control knob for selecting various temperature settings and functions:

Using the Defrost Setting

The defrost setting allows for quick thawing of frozen foods before cooking. Place frozen food on the roasting rack within the removable pan, set the dial to 'DEFROST', and allow the appliance to thaw the food.

Roasting and Cooking

  1. Prepare your food (e.g., turkey, roast) and place it on the roasting rack inside the removable pan.
  2. Cover the roaster oven with the self-basting lid.
  3. Plug the appliance into a standard electrical outlet.
  4. Turn the control knob to your desired cooking temperature (150°F to 450°F). The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the oven is heating.
  5. The self-basting lid will circulate moisture, keeping your food juicy and flavorful without frequent manual basting.
  6. Once cooking is complete, turn the control knob to 'OFF' and unplug the appliance.

Using the Keep Warm Function

After cooking, you can use the 'KEEP WARM' setting to maintain the food at a serving temperature without overcooking. This is ideal for preparing meals in advance.

Care and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your roaster oven.

  1. Always unplug the roaster oven from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. The lid, removable pan, and roasting rack are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them in warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the roaster oven base with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish.
  4. Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing or reassembling the appliance.

Troubleshooting
