Setup and Unboxing

Unboxing Your Mattress

Your Beautyrest Black mattress is delivered compressed and rolled in a box for convenient shipping. Carefully remove the mattress from its packaging. Place the rolled mattress on your bed frame or foundation before removing the final plastic wrapping.

Initial Decompression

Once the plastic wrapping is removed, the mattress will begin to expand. Allow up to 72 hours for the mattress to fully decompress and reach its intended shape and firmness. While you can sleep on it sooner, waiting the full 72 hours ensures optimal performance and comfort.

Care and Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life and performance of your mattress:

• Mattress Protector: We highly recommend using a mattress protector to shield your mattress from stains and spills. This also contributes to the overall health and lifespan of your mattress.
• Avoid Liquids: Do not apply liquids directly to the mattress. Liquids can stain the fabric and worsen soiled areas. Moisture or chemicals applied directly can cause premature breakdown of the foam and damage the product.
• Cleaning Stains: For soiled areas, apply baking soda, let it stand for approximately 15 minutes, then vacuum. Repeat as needed. Air out the product as much as possible.
