4. Setup Guide

4.2 App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection

1. Download the XIAOVV APP: Search for "XIAOVV" in your mobile device's app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS) and download the official application.
2. Register/Log In: Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to register a new account or log in if you already have one.
3. Add Device: Tap the "+" icon or "Add Device" button in the app. Select "Security Camera" or scan the QR code on the camera (if available).
4. Connect to Wi-Fi:
   • Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
   • Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password when prompted by the app.
   • Follow the app's instructions to pair the camera. This usually involves showing a QR code on your phone screen to the camera's lens or listening for a sound prompt.
5. Name Your Camera: Once connected, give your camera a recognizable name (e.g., "Front Door Camera," "Backyard Camera").

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Live View and Resolution Adjustment

Open the XIAOVV app and select your camera from the device list to access the live view. The app's real-time preview defaults to SD (Standard Definition) mode to conserve bandwidth. To view in 2K HD quality, tap the resolution setting (usually labeled "SD") on the live view screen and switch to "HD" mode. Adjusting to HD mode may require a stable network connection.

5.2 PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) Control

On the live view screen, use the directional controls (often represented by arrows or a joystick icon) to remotely pan (rotate horizontally up to 355°) and tilt (rotate vertically up to 90°) the camera lens to monitor different areas.

5.3 Night Vision Modes

The camera automatically switches to night vision in low-light conditions. It offers:

• Infrared (IR) Night Vision: Provides clear black and white images in complete darkness.
