6.2 Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Testing

  1. Turn on the tester.
  2. Place the NCV sensor tip near the wire, cable, or electrical outlet you wish to test.
  3. If AC voltage is detected, the tester will emit an audible beep and the LED indicator will flash red. The intensity of the beeping and flashing indicates the strength of the detected voltage.
  4. The LCD display will show the detected AC voltage level.

Description: This image demonstrates the non-contact voltage testing feature. The tester's tip is held near an electrical wire, and the device is indicating the presence of voltage with a red light and a digital reading on its screen.

6.3 GFCI Socket Testing

  1. Turn on the tester.
  2. Insert the tester's plug into the electrical socket.
  3. Observe the LED indicators on the tester. The combination of lit LEDs will indicate the wiring status of the socket. Refer to the indicator table below for interpretation.
  4. To test the GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) function, press the "RCD Test" button on the tester. A properly functioning GFCI outlet should trip (turn off power) when this button is pressed.
