The XD1 camera features two distinct lenses to provide comprehensive monitoring. One lens offers a fixed wide view, while the other provides a 360° pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) capability for dynamic coverage.

Clear FHD Resolution
Both lenses deliver clear Full HD (1080P) resolution. The motorized lens offers 10x optical zoom with an F2.0 aperture and 2.95mm focal length, while the wide-angle lens provides a 100.4° Field of View, 10x optical zoom, F1.6 aperture, and 6.20mm focal length.

4. Setup Guide
4.1 Powering On
- Connect the USB cable to the camera's power port.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- Wait for the camera's indicator light to show it is ready for setup (refer to the camera's LED indicator guide in the app for specific states).
4.2 App Download and Account Creation
- Scan the QR code on the packaging or search for the "virtavo" app in your mobile device's app store (iOS/Android).
- Download and install the app.
- Open the app and create a new account or log in if you already have one.
4.3 Connecting to Wi-Fi
The virtavo XD1 camera supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks only. Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during the setup process.
- In the virtavo app, tap "Add Device" or the "+" icon.
- Select the XD1 camera model from the list.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network. This typically involves scanning a QR code displayed on your phone with the camera's lens.
- Once connected, the camera's indicator light will change, and you will receive a confirmation in the app.
5. Operating the Camera
5.1 Live View and PTZ Control
- Open the virtavo app and select your XD1 camera to access the live view.
- Use the on-screen joystick or swipe gestures to control the PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) movement of the motorized lens.
- Switch between the fixed wide-angle view and the PTZ view as needed.
5.2 Motion Tracking and Alerts
- Enable "Motion Tracking" in the camera settings within the app. The camera will automatically follow detected movement.
- Configure "Motion Alerts" to receive notifications on your phone when motion is detected.
- Adjust motion detection sensitivity to minimize false alarms.
5.3 Two-Way Audio
- In the live view, tap the microphone icon to speak through the camera's speaker.
- Tap the speaker icon to listen to audio from the camera's environment.
5.4 Night Vision Settings
- Night vision automatically activates in low-light conditions.
- You can manually toggle night vision on/off or set it to automatic mode in the app settings.
5.5 Recording and Storage
- SD Card Storage: Insert a microSD card (up to 128GB, Class 10 or higher recommended) into the camera's SD card slot for continuous 24/7 recording.
- Cloud Storage: Subscribe to a virtavo cloud plan via the app for secure, off-site storage of your video recordings.
- Access recorded footage through the "Playback" or "History" section in the app.
5.6 Privacy Mode
- Activate "Privacy Mode" in the app to temporarily disable video recording and alerts. This is useful when you do not wish to record or be alerted.
- You can also schedule privacy mode to activate during specific times.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Camera
- Ensure the camera is powered off before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body.
- For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and specialized lens cleaning solution if necessary. Avoid abrasive materials.
6.2 Firmware Updates
- Regularly check for firmware updates through the virtavo app.
- Keeping your camera's firmware updated ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Camera Offline
- Check if the camera is properly powered on and the power adapter is securely connected.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi router is working correctly and the camera is within Wi-Fi range.
- Restart the camera by unplugging and re-plugging it.
- Verify that your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz networks.
7.2 Poor Video Quality
- Ensure your internet connection is stable and has sufficient bandwidth.
- Clean the camera lens to remove any dust or smudges.
- Check the video resolution settings in the app; higher resolution requires more bandwidth.
7.3 Two-Way Audio Issues
- Ensure the microphone and speaker permissions are enabled for the virtavo app on your mobile device.
- Check the volume settings on both your mobile device and within the app.
- Minimize background noise near the camera and your mobile device.
