3. Setup and Initial Use

3.1 Setting Time and Date

  1. Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) out to the first click position to adjust the date. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise until the correct date is displayed.
  2. Pull the crown out to the second click position to adjust the time. Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands. Ensure to account for AM/PM when setting the date.
  3. Once the time and date are set, push the crown back in completely to start the watch movement.

3.2 Activating Luminous Display

For the luminous hands and markers to glow in the dark, they must first absorb light. Expose the watch to a bright light source (natural sunlight or artificial light) for approximately 30 seconds to activate the luminous function.

3.3 Adjusting the Bracelet

The watch bracelet can be adjusted to fit your wrist size. A watch adjustment tool is typically included in the package box for removing or adding links. If you are unsure, it is recommended to seek professional assistance for bracelet adjustment.

4. Operation and Water Resistance

4.1 Water Resistance Guidelines

Your OLEVS 5885 watch is designed with water resistance up to 30 meters (100 feet). This means it is suitable for everyday use, such as splashes or brief immersion in water. However, it is not suitable for showering, bathing, swimming, snorkeling, or any water-related work where it might be subjected to continuous water pressure or submersion. Do not press any buttons or pull the crown while the watch is wet or underwater.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stainless steel, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

5.2 Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by one LR44 battery (included). When the watch stops or its movement becomes erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure the water resistance seal is properly maintained.

5.3 Storage

When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. Keeping it in its original box or a watch case can help protect it from dust and scratches.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your OLEVS 5885 watch, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Watch Not Running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may need replacement.
  • Incorrect Time/Date: Refer to Section 3.1 for instructions on how to correctly set the time and date.
  • Bracelet Too Tight/Loose: The bracelet can be adjusted using the provided tool. If you require additional links or further assistance, please contact the seller.
  • Luminous Display Not Glowing: Ensure the watch has been exposed to sufficient light to charge the luminous material (refer to Section 3.2).
